"Yes Mom that's everything!" I groaned. Today was check in day at University of Melbourne. Kali had decided to check in early so we said our good-byes a week ago. Jai wasn't checking in until Saturday which was 3 days away so he was coming with us.
"Sorry! I just don't want you to be missing something important and then we either have to one; come back here and get it or two; I'm going to have to give you money to buy it and I don't want to do either." She replied. I rolled my eyes and double checked just for the heck of it. Bedsheets, towels, laptop, alarm, tampons, clothes, and my little panda nightlight and all that other stuff.
"You guys ready?" My Mom asked Jai and I.
"Yup!" We both said climbing into the backseat of her toyota. She started the car and we were on our way.
The car ride was about an hour long since the University was way on the other side of Melbourne. Jai and I listened to music on my iPod. I loved showing him new music and vice versa. He showed me the band Silverchair, Young the Giant, and introduced me to Skrillex. I showed him Eminem, Pixie Lott, and Grouplove. We agreed on many artist like Jason Mraz and One Direction but the one artist we couldn't agree on was Adele.
Jai loved Adele but I absolutely couldn't stand her! Her voice was so annoying to me. The only song I like by her was Chasing Pavements other than that I hated songs like Rumor has it, Rolling in the deep, and Someone like you.
No matter where or what we were doing we would get into very heated arguments about her. I was just hoping that my roommate in college didn't have a dieing passion for her because that wouldn't be to good.
We arrived at the complex around 11:00. Students were milling around and some were even crying. I guess those were the ones studying abroad. I got my luggage and Jai and my Mom carried my two boxes.  We went up to a desk that had a huge sign that said freshmen check in.
I walked over to the desk where there was a blond girl with huge boobs.
"Hey Summer I forgot something in the car. I'll be right back." My Mom said as we got in line behind two other people. She dropped the box and went back to the car. We finally got to the desk and immediately the blond glared at me when she saw Jai.
"Aren't you Jai from the Janoskians?" She asked, smiling.
"Yup. That's me." He replied, shifting his hands to get a better grip on the box.
"I'm Carly." She said smiling bigger. I cleared my throat and the gave me a look.
"I'm Summer Asphy and I'm checking in." I butted in their conversation. I heard Jai snicker behind me.
"Oh hi. Your in dorm C3 and your sharing a room with 3 other girls. They haven't checked in yet though. Are you checking in?" She directed her attention back to Jai.
"No he's not." I snapped. I picked up the box and grunted under the weight while pulling my luggage at the same time.
I stomped towards the dormitories mad at that dumb bitch.
"Relax Summer." Jai said behind me.
"What a stupid hoe." I muttered.
"Haha. Your cute." He chuckled. I walked into the elevator with a couple other people and pushed the button that said the third floor. I found my dorm and opened the door with the key I was give.
The dorm was huge from what I've seen. Probably since it had to fit 4 people. There were two bunk beds one on each wall. There was a small counter on one wall and a bathroom was on the right.
I placed my stuff on one of the bottom bunks.
"Wow I can't believe we're really going to college." Jai said, sitting down on one of the bunks.
"I know. It's gonna be weird not seeing each other everyday." I replied sitting next to him.
"Yeah I'm gonna miss you. Alot." He chuckled. "My biggest fear is that, there's a lot of new people here and like new guys and I'm just scared you'll find somebody better, you know?" He grabbed my hand.
"I don't think so." I chuckled. "When you just go to the store to buy milk I think about you." I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Do you think we're gonna grow up and get married together?"  He asked. I pressed my lips together.
"Well Jai I love you and everything but that's far away from now and anything could happen." I lifted my head from his shoulder and grabbed his face making him look at me. "But I know that even if you're not going to be with me later on in life I know that you're going to find someone who is going to make you happy and it might be me maybe it won't. However I know it will be right because everything is right in the end." I looked him straight in the eye as a single tear fell down his face. I smiled and wiped it away.
"Shit I'm crying." He chuckled, sniffling at the same time.
"Don't cry. We'll be together."
I lightly pressed my lips to his. At that moment I felt this strange feeling surge through me. It could only be described as love. It was like something was going through me and into Jai. I felt it from my heart and it was like I could feel his. It was like connecting us. I felt together with him more than ever. I'm not sure if he felt it too but, after he pulled away and we just sat there hugging, I could still feel that feeling.
I felt it forever and ever.
