At the house Dad was holding Callie. "Mom, Dad." I say as I walk over into my room.
"Mom. There is someone who wants to meet you." I say as Uncle Kay comes around the corner.
Mom gasps in place. "Kay......Kayceon?" She says.
"Hey little sister. It's been how long since I seek you?" He asks.
"I haven't seen you since Chance was a baby and that was nearly seventeen years ago." She says.
"Jay? Kayceon? It's been forever." Dad says as he takes Callie from Mom.
"Jay. Do you know how long I wanted to make things right with you and you never would let me?" He asks.
Mom didn't meet his gaze.
"Jay we are siblings. And it seventeen years and Chance came and found me. You know how that feels. I loved seeing Chance after all these years. Chance made me change and I want to have a relationship with Callie." He says.
"Jay stop being all hard. That's why you named Chance. All about second chances." Dad says.
Mom's facial expression softened. "It's hard seeing my brother behind bars. You were my role model and that hurt the most. It hurt Kay." Mom says.
"I know I hurt you and Mom. But I'm sorry. Seeing the hurt look on your face I wanted to change and then hearing about my little niece I knew I had to." He says
What seemed like forever Mom wrapped her arms around him. "I love you Kayceon." She says.
