chapter 5

................to my utter surprise we saw Alberta and Mikhail standing together in front of a car. I stopped in my track, they knew we would be running away. They knew we would run this way , we were caught. Fear crept through me and I clunched to ena and got a tight hold of Dimitri's hand pulling him back. They were going to take Ena and Dimitri away from me.

Dimitri turned towards me.

"Don't worry roza everything is okay they are here to help us"

I released a sigh of relief. Dimitri pulled us towards the car and Alberta hugged me.
"How could you possibly think that after giving me the post of grandma I would betray you and Ena."
"I know I should not have behaved like that but after what Lissa did.. "
While we were talking, dimitri opened the back door putting all our things inside it.
"Come on we should get moving "he said taking ena from me. He helped me get inside the car, getting himself in next beside me. When we were inside the car, Mikhail started the car and we were on our way.
"Hey aren't they going to follow us or track us down if we don't change the car or something like that."
"Ya they are going to and that's what we will be doing on our next stoppage"

It was after thirty minutes that we saw a car and standing beside it was OH. MY. GOSH. Sonya karp.

"Oh my gosh was this all a joke!!!!"
"Come on close your mouth and get out of the car otherwise we will be late for our flight."Alberta said rolling her eyes.
"But how is this even possible"
"Come on roza we will explain you in the car" Dimitri called to me.

With ena in my arms I tried to get out of the car but it was a little bit difficult. Dimitri saw my struggle While replacing bags in the car, he came over to my side and helped me out, taking Ena from me. Ena was wide awake and looking around at her new environment. She was definitely not pleased with what she saw around her so she went back to play with her daddy's hair and pulling on it a little tightly. I pried off her hands from his hair and said
"No baby it is not good to hurt daddy".
And as soon as I told her this her eyes started to get watery and thick tears fell down her eyes.
"No baby mommy is not scolding you" dimitri said.
The words left his mouth and she went back to Dimitri's hair pulling on it. Really she was totally a naughty thing.

We got inside the car with ena in Dimitri's arms. Alberta , dimitri and I were sitting in the back seat with Mikhail on the driver's seat and Sonya on the shotgun.
"So.... Sonya will you now tell me how are you still a Moroi. I swear I saw the clip you were a strigoi. Were you even a strigoi "
"Yes I was"
"And... "
"I turned back to a moroi"
"What? How is that even possible"
" What you don't know? didn't dimitri tell u"
"What did he not tell me"
"you did not tell her" she told him pointedly.
"She doesn't needs to know that"this is his reply.
What is he hiding from me
"Don't you love her " she said
"Of course I do i love her so much that it hurts sometimes"
"Then tell her"
"But this is not the right time"
"Ok what are you two not telling me" I looked at both of them pointedly glaring with the infamous hathaway glare on.
"Dimitri tell her"
I turned towards him glaring and waiting for the answer.
He did not answer and was staring back at me.
"Ok now, get it, dimitri was a strigoi, rose before he met you" Sonya said
Dimitri's head turned so fast that I thought he was going to get a wipsplash or something. He glared at her so intensely that if I were in her place I would have asked for the earth to open up eat me . But I was shocked. He was a STRIGOI. I couldn't believe it. He never told me this.
"What?"
"yes he was" she had some courage, I had to give it her, after continuing to be on the receiving end of Dimitri's glare.
"The night Evan died he was turned against his will but turned back into dhamphir after 2 or 3 months of his strigoi life by - -"
" Enough sonya"
"No she needs to know dimitri!

(glaring at him. I swear there was a glaring match going on in front of me.)

OK where was I before I was very rudely interrupted yeah The same night I was turned back into a Moroi by Robert Duro, Victor dashkovs half brother, he is a good guy. He helped us back to our normal life. And then Robert recommended dimitri to search for you both. He also signed him over to the academy - - "
"And there I found u. And here we are. Roza now if u dont want me near you. You just need to say the words and I will be out of your and ena's both life and will never show you my face...

I  was beyond shocked by the fact that he was a strigoi and was brought back to life. It was fate that meant for us to be together. He was brought back just for me. I was so happy he came back to this life to show me what love is.

.... I am really sorry I truly am that I did not tell you. Mikhail stop the car let me get out. "
He handed me Ena, that's when I came back to my senses.
"No Mikhail don't stop continue. And you (I turned towards dimitri) shut up! You idiot"
I pulled him in towards me and kissed him. He didn't kiss me back. He was definitely in shock.
"Idiot kiss me or I am telling Michael to stop the car and wil be out of the car in seconds"
The threatening  definitely did its work bringing him back to his sense because next thing i knew we were kissing each other with so much passion that I became dizzy due to the loss of oxygen in my body. As if sensing this he pulled away from me.

"Now u two stop there are children here if you dont remember." and that was Alberta for you.

It had been a good one hour since I had been sitting in the car and we still hadn't reached our destination that is when God thought he could do some mercy on me and allowed Michael to say.
"Hey get ready dimitri we are almost there"
"ya. (he replied to Michael and then turned to me) ok now we are going to airport you are going to go in with Michael and I will be going in with Alberta and Sonya. Roza here is a bag, it has lenses and wigs whatever you like put on."
"And what are you going to do?" He pulled on a specs and a artificial moustache and put it on. Oh my goodness he was looking so funny I had to stop myself from laughing at his face. But when ena saw his face she started to frown and then oh my god she full on started to cry. I think she thought that her daddy had run away or something. She clutch my hand very tightly. When dimitri tried to get near her she was screaming. And hence dimitri removed his disguising agents and the miracle happened she slowly stopped crying and looked at him confused.
"Miliya, daddy is fine he is just inside these" and he showed her the moustache and specs and then once putting it on and then again removing those showing her that he was really inside those. As if sensing it was fun ena started laughing and reaching her hands towards it.

When we were near our destination we checked Ena's diaper changed her and feed her. We even tried to put her to sleep but she was not having any of it.
"Ok roza you are only going to take the diaper bag and I will be taking the bigger bag which is ours"
"dimitri we are almost there want to swap places" Mikhail asked from the front.
"ya let's do it. Are you ready Roza? "
"yeah lets do it" I said with a new found confidence.
