Alex's POV

I headed home and saw my mom in the living room sitting.

Why do I feel like I'm going to have a conversation with my mother?

Elizabeth: Alex?

*Sigh* As expected, she's here to have a conversation with me..

Alex: Yes?

Elizabeth: Let's talk.

Alex: Why?

Elizabeth: Listen to your mother, Alex.

I walked towards to the chair in front of my mother. I put my bag down on the ground and sat on the chair, took a deep breath and stare at my mother.

Alex: What do you want to talk about, mother?

Elizabeth: How are you and Grace?

Alex: ........

Elizabeth: ...... You have nothing to share for me to know?

Alex: I didn't even chose her to be my partner.

Elizabeth: Why can't hang out with her all the time?

Alex: I'm busy.

Elizabeth: That's the reason why you can't feel anything about her. you don't hang out with her. Grace, she likes you. Why can't you love her?

Alex: Do I even look like I want to hang out with her?

Elizabeth: *holds Alex's hand* Alex, please. For our company. For us.

Alex: "For the company"? For "us"?! For you, dad, Lena and not for me?

Elizabeth: What I meant is "us". Including you.

Alex: Well, it looks like I'm not included. Because I'll be the one who's not going to have the advantage.

Elizabeth: Why can't you accept Grace?!

Alex: Why can't accept my interest?! All I want is to have a normal life the others. Not like this.

Elizabeth: We just want what's the best for you, sweetie.

Alex: You want what's the best for me so, you can get the advantages If I accept the suggestions you give me?

Elizabeth: What are you.....

Alex: I'm sorry but, I don't think I can accept this request of yours for Me and Grace.

Then, I stood and left Mom sitting still.

Elizabeth: You can't deny the marriage! I've already decided!

I stand still and shook from what my mother said.

Elizabeth: You're getting married after your prom.

Alex: Isn't a bit too early for us to get married?!

Elizabeth: I don't care! Early or not, you're still getting married to Grace!

I headed upstairs to my room and slammed the door with frustration.

I took off my clothes and headed to the shower.
