"Are you sure you're going to be okay, honey? You can always just be a commuter instead" My mom says as I walk her and my dad to their car out in the parking lot behind my dorm building.

"Mom, I am going to be fine. If I hate being here, which I know I won't, than I will call you and switch out okay?" After reassuring her that I will be fine and will see her soon, we begin saying goodbyes.

"Okay. You better call me soon! Good luck with class tomorrow. I can't believe my little girl is in college!" She cheers and my dad just shakes his head. My parents have the strongest relationship I have ever seen. The love and trust they have for one another is so rare now a days. I can only hope I find half the love they have.

I smile slightly and shake my head "Yeah, yeah, I'm all grown up"

"Bye Dad" I say and walk over wrapping my arms around him tightly. The only time I have seen my dad cry was when we put my dog down when I was in the 7th grade. So, when my mom and I start tearing up, I can tell he is trying to be the strong one and keep it together.

"Bye sweet heart. Be safe and have fun. You're in college, live it up but be smart." He says and nudges my shoulder.

"Thanks Dad." I say and kiss his cheek. After letting go, my mom captures me in a bone crushing hug, tears spilling onto my blouse.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" She asks, holding me at arms-length.

"Yes mom, I am going to be fine" I say as I wrap my arms tightly around her waist again for one more quick goodbye.

"Okay. If you need anything or just want to talk, call me. You got it?"

"Yes ma'am"

"Good. Well go have fun and we will see you soon. I love you"

"Love you too, Mom. Get home safe and I'll call you soon

I watch as they get in the car and pull out of the parking lot. I'm officially in college! I walk back upstairs to my room and hang with my roommate, Meghan for the night.

The next morning

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

"Shut it off!"

"I'm trying!" Meg mutters as she looks around for her alarm clock, completely dazed and extremely tired. Maybe staying up until 3 AM was not a very good idea for our first night of being in college.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

"Meg, come on, please!?" I plead before covering my head with my pillow.

"Shit! What time is your first class?"

"Not until 9:30, why?" I ask, rolling over onto my back looking up at the plastered ceiling

"Because it's 9:10 right now and we are both f**king late!"

"F*ck!" I yell and jump out of my bed. I throw on a pair of navy blue soccer shorts, a grey sweatshirt with my neon blue Adidas and tall black crew socks and I literally run out the door. Not only am I going to be late for my first class in college but it's a class based on my major. Shit! Fifteen minutes later I walk up into the building and into my classroom "Sorry, I'm late" I mutter with my head down, not looking at the professor or the students who are bound to be staring at me and walk to the back of class.

"It's the first day I'll let it slide, but do not let it happen again." My Professor says as I take my seat in the back of the classroom, now hiding behind a computer screen. I peek around my computer screen and my eyes are met with the most attractive man I have ever laid eyes on. His chiseled jaw, his alluring hazel eyes, his arms covered in a dark grey button down but no doubt are warm and strong, but not Hulk strong.
