Maya came home and heard the patter of feet.
"Mommy!"
Maya caught the twins and kissed their cheeks.
"Hello! Where's Poppa?"
"Right here."
You appeared and leaned on the wall, the top two buttons of your shirt undone. Maya walked over and hugged you. Your arms sneaked around her waist and you kissed her softly.
"How was practice?"
"Good. Are you excited for the final game?"
"Yes I am. Hope you win."
"I wish you would be here."
"I'll be watching though."
Maya smiled as you kissed her again.
"Why are you still in your work clothes?"
"I came home and slept before getting the kids and here we are."
Maya nodded.
"Alright, homework time!"
"Okay!" Amanda said, running off.
"Nooooo!" Michael said as he went upstairs.
You and maya chuckled before you cleared the table.
"You cooking tonight?"
"It's Wednesday so....yes."
You smiled before kissing her cheek.
"I got homework duty."
Maya smiled as the twins came back and sat with their homework. She began to cook as you began to help.

You groaned as the phone went off. Maya slowly opened her eyes. You were talking to someone.
"Jesus fucking Christ."
You hung up and rubbed your face.
"What's wrong?"
"Fucking bodies. I have to go."
You entered the closet and dressed in leggings and a tee before slipping a hoodie on.
"What time-"
"I don't know. I know I promised the kids to take them to school. Shit."
Maya kissed you softly and you kissed back before sighing.
"I really hate my job at times."
Maya laughed: you didn't hate your job. You just hated the randomness at times.
"I'll call with an update later."
"Okay. Kiss the kids."
"Always do."
You kissed her one more time before checking on the kids. You left. Maya returned to bed.

Maya smiled as Seimone held Amanda and Sylvia was hugging Michael.
