"Momma!"

The team watched as the seven year old girl ran to Tina. Tina caught her, hugging her.

"Hey Tiana. Where's Poppa?"

"Right here."

You walked forward, still in your work outfit. You kissed Tina, arms around her waist.

"Hey. How was work?"

"Too calm."

Tina knew what that meant: a storm was brewing. You heard Tiana giggle and saw her playing with Shavonte and Epiphanny.

"What do you want for dinner? Tiana wants burgers."

"Burgers are fine. You grilling?"

"Yup. Only way to do it."

Tina smiled.

"I heard Mrs. Ash say she's grilling!" Amanda said.

You groaned making Tina laugh as a smile appeared on your lips.

"Guess I'm feeding the tribe."

"Yeah. Looks like it."

"Well I better get going. Tiana!"

Tiana ran over as she waved to the team and kissed Tina one more time before leaving with you.

You were laughing when the phone rang. You went to answer it.

"Hello! Ash-Charles residents!"

"SSA Ash."

"Boss."

The team grew quiet. You listened before nodding.

"Give me 2 hours. I have to tuck my baby girl in."

You hung up.

"Bad?"

"Goddamn Hurricane."

You walked upstairs. Knocking on Tiana's door you entered. She was still reading.

"Poppa!"

"Hey princess!"

Tiana smiled as you walked over. She handed you the book and you put it on the shelf before smiling.

"Time for bed."

You pulled the sheet up and smiled.

"Do you have work poppa?"

"Sadly."

"Is it a storm?"

"Hurricane baby."

Tiana pouted but nodded.

"I know. I was hoping for a storm too because at least those cases I can come home."

"Are you going to be okay poppa?"

"Yeah."

"Come home?"

"Always princess."

You took off the Celtic knot necklace you were wearing and put it on her.

"Take care of it while I'm at work okay?"

Tiana nodded and hugged you as you kissed her temple.

"Good night baby."

"Good night poppa."

You kissed her one last time before leaving the room.

Twenty minutes later you were downstairs, dressed and Tina was wishing you didn't have to go.
