(Niall's POV)

Taking over Louis' body was easy and I was actually surprised by that. I remember the first time, taking over that bully's body, and then the second time taking over Zayn. Those times were difficult to control and I was left completely drained and unresponsive to the world. Louis was different though. I basically just walked into his body. Zayn knew what I was doing. He didn't like it one bit, but I had to get to Chad somehow. And if Zayn wasn't going to say anything to my best friend, than I would. Well, Louis would.

This was going to be weird.

I spotted Chad down the hallway and began my walk over to him. "I'm just going to have a friendly chat." I smiled, using Louis' voice. It was strange because his voice was much lighter than my own. I cleared my throat, well Louis', and left Zayn behind as I approached Chad. When he looked up his eyes widened at me.

"L-Louis. Hi." He said shyly, his gaze moved to the floor. It must have been weird for him to encounter Louis Tomlinson, star football player, twice in one day. We stood there awkwardly until I remembered why I had approached Chad in the first place. It wasn't like I, Niall Horan, was standing there in front of him, alive and well. No. I just inhabited the body of a fellow student and hopelessly coming up with the right words to say to my best friend.

"Can we talk?" I asked. Chad nodded, probably thinking that Louis wanted to talk more about the prick that had killed me. "In private?" I added, watching as more and more students crowded the hallway. Zayn was one of them and he stood there, watching carefully, but not interrupting what I had to say.

"Uhm, sure." Chad followed me to an emptier part of the hallway where we had more privacy. I looked around, my vision sort of funneled through Louis' eyes, and I saw Zayn, standing close by. I cleared my throat again and then returned my gaze to Chad. I unconsciously rested my hand on Chad's shoulder, an action that I had done so often before, but with my own hand. Chad looked down at Louis' hand and gave me an uncomfortable look. "What is this about?"

I breathed in deeply as I started to feel my grip on Louis' body slip up. "Alright, you just have to listen to me. This is going to sound completely bat shit crazy-" I took Louis' hand from Chad's shoulder and took a step back. "I mean, real crazy. Please don't freak out."

"You're starting to freak me out." Chad laughed a little. "Just tell me what you want to say. I'm going to be late for class." He glanced at the clock on the wall in the hallway. The bell was going to ring soon, but this was just too important to be interrupted by a stupid school bell.

"Okay, here it goes-" I thought of the right words to say and all I could think of was just out right saying it. I already knew that Chad didn't believe in ghosts. He was never scared of the stories we used to tell each other as children. There was no way he was going to believe me, but I was willing to try. "I'm still here." I spoke, forgetting that I was speaking with Louis' voice.

"What?" Chad stood back. "I don't have time for this. I promised Mr. Tanner that I would be in class early enough to pass out papers." Chad began to walk away, but I grabbed him before he got too far. "Ow, what do you want, Louis? Do you want to beat me up? Take my money? I'm sick of all of your jocks running me around." He pushed back and I was so proud of him for sticking up for himself, but seriously he didn't need to right then. I rolled my eyes.

"Let me rephrase. It's me. I'm in here. It's Niall." I tried to force my own voice through, but it was getting harder and harder to control Louis with each passing moment. "I- I stayed behind. I had some... unfinished business." Was that what it was? Zayn said it was something to do with my missing necklace, but I knew somewhere deep down inside of me there was a reason for me to stick around long after my death.
