Does she know that my destiny lies with her?
Sarah Smiles, Panic! at the Disco
Dimitri's POV
I really did need to get a car, but that could wait. Right now, I had more important matters to deal with.
I walked into the cafe, looking around hopefully. Sure enough, I spotted the same barista that I had seen Rome talking to on multiple occasions.
Was it a huge coincidence? Should this be called plot convenience? Maybe. But love always finds a way.
"Hey..." I glanced at his name tag. "Jason. I need your help with something."
"...What?" The man in question asked, a confused look on his face. "You're Roman's bo- friend, right?"
"I'm not his bo-friend, I'm his friend." I responded, crossing my arms. "You went to school with him growing up, right? You know him pretty well, right?"
"Yeah... what do you need?"

Almon's POV
"Should I bring Dimitri?" I asked nervously, straightening my tie.
Ryo was texting her new friend on her bed, and wasn't too interested in my questions. She was probably regretting letting me get ready in her room.
"No."
"Am I dressed too formally?"
"No."
"Will Roman dress up this nicely?"
"No."
"Was any of this a good idea?"
"No."
"Ryo!"
She finally set down her phone, an annoyed look on her face. "Relax. Roman's not the type to freak out over the small things. Or the big things. I'm still not completely over you ditching him."
"He's gotten over before you have!" I cried out, exasperated. "What will it take?"
"Something big." She answered in a thoughtful tone. "Get him a girlfriend."
"You do know that Dimitri's practically in love with the guy, right?"
Ryo's head snapped up. "Like, like like?"
"I'm pretty sure saying the word 'like' three times doesn't count as a sentence."
"Is it a platonic like or...?" She rephrased.
"Psh, Dimitri's head over heals." I brushed her off. "I thought I told you he was gay?"
"For a smart guy, you sure do forget a lot of stuff." She muttered angrily.
"Dimitri's super gay and I'm almost positive he has a crush on Roman." I recounted. "Is that good enough?"
"Does Roman like him back?"
"Million dollar question." I mumbled. "He's never had a girlfriend, but never had a boyfriend. He seemed interested in dating, but always told me no one seemed right."
"What is he, a protagonist in a romance novel?"
"I know, right?" I snorted. "Anyways, does this look good?"
She looked up. "Just go ahead and assume you'll be overdressed."
"I know." I sighed. "Sometimes I feel like I care more about how I look than my brother."
