I held my roots to the ground
With all the power I've found
I tried building a home
In a heart I thought I own
I threw away my pride
Enjoying the ride
Giving away my sword
And taking down the walls of my fort
Because of the never-ending desire

But he gave no worth
And moved on on this earth
He broke me in every way
That I had no reason to stay
My roots were breaking
And my wounds were aching
Tears like a river
Memories making me shiver
You could see my leaves fall
And life leaving my soul.
