Third Person POV

Thor looked at the papers Bruce had handed him. He was confused by the numbers and letters on the sheet in his hands.

Thor said, "What does this mean?"

Bruce said, "It means what you asked me to test for is there. I haven't seen anything like her before. I don't even think she's human."

Thor said, "Bruce please don't tell anyone what you found. I will tell the others that she isn't normal and that's all. It is vital for this girl's identity to remain a secret or she'll die. Can you do that for me?"

Bruce said, "Fine. Promise me you will tell them eventually."

Thor said, "It isn't ours to tell. She needs to be the one to decide who knows about her."

Bruce said, "Ok."

Main Character's POV

I groggily opened my eyes. I was in an unfamiliar room lying in a hospital bed. I panicked. This couldn't happen to me. Not again. Not ever again. I would rather die than be experimented on again. Loud beeps came from the heart monitor as my heart rate skyrocketed. I had to get out of here. Panicking I started to get up. Then a guy with short blond hair came into the room. He walked over to my side.

He said, "Please calm down m'am. You are safe now. We rescued you from Hydra."

I stopped thrashing. Could it be true? Could I finally be free?

I said, "Where am I then?"

He said, "You are in Avengers Tower. My name is Steve Rodgers. To some I am known as Captain America."

Hearing that name filled me with calm. If this truly was the Captain America, than I was finally safe. After enduring almost five years of hell I might finally be free.

I said, "How do I know for sure that you are Captain America?"

He said, "Well I have this." and picked his iconic shield up and showed it to me.

This really was him! I was really safe. I leaned forward and hugged him tightly. Tears of joy slipped down my cheeks. The captain hugged back after a moment.

I said, "Thank you so much."

He said, "You're welcome."

My vision started to fade. Finally I was safe. Finally I could relax. For the first time in six years I didn't have to fear for my life every time I closed my eyes. I didn't have to wonder if I would wake up every time my eyes closed. I passed out as all the pent up adrenaline that I had been running on for six years left my body.

3rd Person POV

Steve was surprised when the girl in his arms passed out. Instinctively he clutched the girl closer to his chest. Then he gently laid her back onto the bed. A look of pure peace was on the girl's face. He got up and walked out the door where the rest of the team was waiting for him.

Steve said, "Whoever this girl is she has gone through a lot. Tony have you made any progress on identifying her?"

Tony said, "I combed through Hydra's files and found a file on her. Most of the file was to degraded to make out, but there was some I could recover. From what I was able to recover I learned a few things. First that she is 18 years old. Second that they have had her for the past five years. Third that she has powers, but I couldn't recover the part that said what they were. That's all I know."

Thor said, "Doctor how long before she wakes up again?"

Bruce said, "If I had to guess I would say in about an hour."

Thor said, "When she wakes up again I would like to be the first person to speak to her alone."

Tony said, "Why's that Shakespeare?"

Thor said, "I need to ask her some questions."

Tony said, "That's suspici-"

Steve interrupted, "That's perfectly fine Thor."

Thor said, "Thank you."
