Reviewing Lines

The sound of my heels clunking against the ground almost made me giggle. I had never worn heels before, but I was wearing a pair of deep purple ankle booties that had like six inch heels. I was actually walking pretty good in them for a girl who had never worn heels.

"Cristin," a voice said. "Why are you so late, darling?" She held her hand out to me to help me into the hair/makeup trailer.

"Because of these killer heels, I guess." I said with a slight laugh. "They can really slow you down."

"Oh, I know." The makeup lady said with a slight smile as I sat down in the chair.

I guess I should explain myself before we go any further. You see, I was starring in my very first movie-- Descendants 3. I was playing a girl named Rachel, the daughter of Rapunzel and Flynn. I was so happy to be in this film, as I had only ever been in one tv show.. just as an extra, and this movie franchise was one of my favorites. Anyways, the movie takes place after Dizzy gets invited to Auradon, but only three other people get invited, one of them being Harry Hook. When Harry comes to Auradon, my character basically falls in love with him and he convinces her to go to the Isle with him. It's hard to explain, actually, but, it's honestly a wonderful script.

"Ah, morning, Rachel," Thomas said with a slight laugh as he walked into the trailer. "You're already wearing your Isle clothes. Looks pretty cool."

"Thanks, Harry." I said, rolling my eyes playfully. "You look pretty rough, though. Maybe you should pile on the guyliner." I joked.

"Already planned on it." He winked, sitting down in the chair beside me.

"So where's Dove?" I questioned.

"She's sick today. That's why we aren't filming any scenes with Mal in them." He explained.

"Oh, got it." I said quietly, then turned my head to look at him. "My Isle look is going to be so insane." I said, before I even realized I was saying anything at all. Thomas is just so easy to talk to, so it's like neither of us ever shut up.

"Looks like it. But, it looks pretty good, I think. Definitely quite Isle-y with a slight taste of Auradon."

"I'm not even talking about the clothes," I pointed toward the plethora of makeup products on the vanity in front of me. "You should see what they're planning to do for my makeup and hair. I'm going to have a wig that's brownish-purple at the top and kinda turns into more of a lavender-ish pink on the ends. It's crazy. And oh my god the makeup."

"Hm. Severe. Can't wait to see that," Thomas said with a laugh. "You know, we come in late, and they end up taking forever. Why did they even walk outside practically as soon as we walked in?"

"I don't even know," I muttered. "Well, I think Agatha actually went to go get my wig, seeing as it isn't in here right now. But, I'm not sure where Jerry went."

"You never really know with him," Thomas laughed. "I guess we could run lines or something while we wait?"

"Thomas, we've had like thousands of rehearsals, and considering we're filming today, you should know your lines by now. If you don't, you're screwed."

"I do know my lines. And I know you know yours. It would just give us something to do." He said.

I thought about it for a moment. "I guess you're right. Script or no script?"

"Didn't you just get finished saying we both know it well enough?" He grinned.

"True. Which scene?" I questioned.

"Um," he thought about it for a moment. "Maybe the museum scene."

I nodded a bit and we both took a moment to get into character before Thomas spun in his chair so he'd be facing me.

I reached out my arm towards the mirror, as if it was the display case with the spell book in it. I just kept my arm there, my hand dangling over an eyeshadow palette.

"What are you waiting for?" He said, grabbing my wrist with his right hand to lower my hand a little. "Grab the book."

I inhaled sharply, looking down at the "spell book". He lowered my hand a little and accidentally rubbed my finger against some eyeshadow. We both started laughing.

"Oh my god, my finger is totally purple now." I said with another little laugh.

"That's what we get for using a makeup thing for a prop." He said, grabbing a makeup remover wipe and rubbing my finger with it.

"Yeah," I laughed. "You don't have to do that. I can wipe it out myself." I said and he shrugged his shoulders, putting the makeup remover wipe aside after he had finished.

"Too late, I did it." He said with a smile.

"What's going on here?"

I turned my head quickly. "Agatha." I said with a slight blush when I saw my makeup/hair lady standing there with my wig. "Hey. We were just going over some lines." I explained. She let out a small laugh and walked up behind me.

"Of course. Come on, lets get you ready to put this on." She said with a smile.

Once everything was finished for me, Thomas raised an eyebrow as he stood to get a closer look at me. "Wicked." He muttered.

"Nice pun." I said with a grin and patted his cheek slightly before walking out of the makeup trailer.
