An eternity since I saw the silver stars
Forever since I saw them glistening bright
Even when the darkness of the night threatens to engulf them
Consume them and take away their light.
Even when it threatens to engulf them they shine
Even against its void they shimmer
Even against its' all consuming mighty power they persist
Even against its' deathly blackness they stand out.
How I wish I could be the same.
