❝From one stress to the next, London left the bench to meet 103 by the fountain that sat smack dab in the middle of the entire park. The park's main attraction, the fountain was a popular landmark where people of all ages would go to enjoy some quiet relaxation. But London was experiencing quite the opposite feeling, now knowing that he had possibly just crushed his friend's heart by admitting his unrequited love for Delilah.
Poor Annabella didn't deserve that, even he had come to that conclusion. She had been nothing but a good friend, a shoulder to lean on when times were tough. And as she approached him in the bubbliest, sweetest manner, all he did was repay her in heartbreak. Perhaps she needed to call the Heartbreak Hotline even more than he did.
Her actions were a shocking reveal, as he never expected Annabella to develop feelings for him. It was the most obvious, yet unexpected element to be thrown into his life of complication. And what was even worse was that it seemed that Delilah was only interested in the mystery man behind those cringey love letters. And all this meant was that London was going to have to make a move as quickly as possible or he was done for.
Caught up in the midst of his thoughts, London hadn't even realized he had reached the fountain already. To his shock, a short and unexpected silhouette approached him as a teasing smirk played on her plump, rosy lips. Trying to blink the thought of her away, he realized that she in fact was real and that she was walking up to him. Her light eyes grazing over him, he felt like he was a textbook she willingly wanted to study and he felt awkwardly uncomfortable at this.
"Glasses, dark hair, stares at the ground while he walks. Watkins, is that you?"
And her voice was even more melodic in person, her attitude much bigger than her tiny frame. Amused by how short she was, he couldn't help but let crack a wide grin in front of the unexpectedly cute girl. Hopefully she wasn't a mind reader, because he would be in lots of trouble.
She wore a plain black snapback, one that matched very well with her untied converse shoes. Sporty she was, and he couldn't help but glance down at his own shoes that matched hers perfectly. A good sign.
"103, so we finally meet," he said, holding his hand out to the adorable stranger before him. She gladly took it and smirked as her dazzling light eyes grazed over him once more. He was much taller in person than she had ever expected and had the most beautiful eyes that resembled the ocean she so desperately loved. His features hidden beneath his thick rimmed glasses, he had a mysterious aura about him that she so desperately wanted to figure out. Clark Kent was adorable no doubt, but she wondered if he too would be the Superman to sweep her off her feet.
From the touch of his hand, a fire lit within her body, sparks of electric fireworks ignited within her very core. And just for a single, brief second, London seemed to feel a surge of the most energetic electricity flare from within him as well. Just who was this girl and why did she have such an effect on him?
Both unable to ignore the magnetic attraction between them, London couldn't help but laugh out of nervousness. Forgetting just how weak in the knees this made her, delightful tingles traveled their way down her spine. His happiness was literally driving her crazy. No doubt that London's laugh was even more attractive in person, but she found it even harder to hide her emotions now that she was in front of him. Her stomach did flips and flops as she tried to contain all of her raging hormones. Why must he taunt her so early into their meeting?
As a response to cover up just how fast her heart was beating, her pink lips pushed her cheeks up to form the biggest smile on the tiniest person. His world lit up, was vibrantly illuminated just by her mere presence. And then when he watched the most breathtaking smile form on her face, he knew he needed her more than anything else in the world.
Expecting 103 to be completely different than she was, she had definitely taken him by surprise. Her soul was beautiful, her charisma was wonderful. Her eyelashes so thick and so full, her lips so plump and soft as they taunted him with every word that rolled off of them. Her body was curvy in all the right places, her skin touchable and soft like satin. He found himself instantaneously wanting to know every single thing about her. Most importantly, he had to know her name. To whatever extent he needed to, he wasn't going home tonight without knowing what her real name was. Even if he had to jokingly bribe her with kisses.
And on the flip side, she couldn't help but to think she underestimated the boy. She was expecting to meet up with this nerdy, hunchback boy who snorted between his sentences. Yet before her stood the most beautiful, broken boy. Oddly attracted to him, 103 found him as a closed book that she was willing to take the risk to open. Yet his height seemed a bit daunting to her. Was it true that he could be a gentle giant? She never expected him to be so freaking tall! Compared to her, he was a tree! Colliding with reality, she realized that everyone seemed to be a tree next to her. Apparently her genes didn't favor her in the height department.
Her mind wandered and pondered on the cute boy that stood before her. She loved his broad shoulders and secretly wanted his arms to wrap around her tiny frame and pull her closer to his chest. She secretly wanted his forehead kisses and for him to cuddle her to sleep. There was no way she'd ever admit that to him though. That would be weird, saying that she has only just uttered a single sentence to him.
"So...you're not what I expected you to be," 103 said bluntly, twirling an end of her hair around her finger.
"That's a good thing though, right?"
"Maybe," she said letting a teasing smirk play on her lips, but his light blush gave him away all too soon.❞
