Chapter 23

Kabeer and his brothers went to get us pizza, since they don't take order here (at least now). It's weird still calling him Kabeer, I mean we're dating right (winks*) I know it seems like I'm rushing things but I'd pick a pet name for him later.

Reaching out for my phone, I dialed my sister's number and at the first ring she picked

"Now you might wanna tell me where your stupid deaf self was at when I've been calling you like forever" Zuliey yelled from across the phone

"Damn girl, my bad I didn't know it rang. What's up? Where the rest of the fam at? Oh my God, I miss mom, put her on" I said realising how much I've actually missed them

"We should just face time" she suggested

"Sure" I agreed and the video call came in real quick. We went mute for some seconds and we bursted out laughing, it was our first time

"It makes my head look real big" Zuliey said between laughs

"It's a double for me, having a big head already plus this" we had deep conversations, talked with Nifah, mom and dad and I almost break down, I miss them so bad

"Mom I miss you the most" I said

"I miss you too my angel"

"When are you returning?" I asked

"Umm... About that, we haven't decided yet but it'd be sooner than you'd ever imagine"

"Mommmm! That was what you said last week"

"Ain't nobody told you to stick your ass at home, haha serves you right" Nifah interrupted

"Mind your language missy, that's your elder sister you're talking to" mom said glaring at her and she only mouthed oops. Sometimes I forget I'm the eldest, they bully me too much

"We'd be back in a blink of an eye" mom assured me and I smiled sadly

"Alright I'd stay connected, love you"

"Love you more my angel" and with that she blew a kiss, I swear I love this woman sooo much

"What's wrong?" Beelarh asked

"Nothing just talked with fam" I said looking away, I was close to tears

"Awwn! You miss them? Don't cry" she said and I rolled my eyes causing the tears to fall

"Na kira miki Kabeer ne? (Should I call Kabeer?" She asked

"Girl noo, don't do that" I replied like she was stupid, which she was

I dunno when the boys arrived because I was fast asleep in the sofa. I was still asleep before their loud voices woke me

"I got you a lil something" Kabeer said handling me a box of pizza

"Boy what I told you about my weig... Oh my God! You got me a heart shaped pizza!" I exclaimed "How much you spent?" I asked

"What? You don't like it?"

"Of course I do, was just wondering. You know you don't have to spend too much"

"Then enjoy it and stop acting like an annoying mom. Don't tell me how to spend on my girl cause I haven't started yet" he said and I stuffed my mouth with it. He then handed me a box

"What for?"

"Just open it" he said rolling his eyes

"Arghhhh! You've got to be kidding me, an iPhone X?" I said with disbelief
