Chapter 15- A War Lasted for Entire Generation

"Well. I guess we are not in a hurry so taking a side trip isn't bad either. Very well, we will go!" Ace excitedly shouted and he looks excited.

He originally came from other world so basically he didn't know anything in this world. Going on a side trip like this makes him excited because he will be experiencing many new things to him!

"Then, I will take you there." Zera smiled.

After a few moment, Zera took out a black coat and gently handed to Ace. "Wear this so that you will not get wet from the rain."

"Rain?" He curiously asked.

Zera had been used to this strange behavior of Ace. It seems like this man had no knowledge in this world despite being in this world. Regardless of her curiosity why this young man in front of her acting in a strange way, she didn't asked Ace for it.

She nodded her head and said, "Just like what I had said before, this region is called Eternal Rain Region. It isn't only a made up name, it is really raining in this region since immemorial time. That's why they called it eternal because since then and now, it didn't stop not even once!" Zera said in serious manner.

Raining continuously? It seem like too impossible but it is. This made Ace become silent for a while! What's on his mind is unknown but one thing is for sure, he is doubting this statement and he think that something is amiss and there must be a reason for it!

After the deep thought, he asked Zera, "If this is true then there must a reason for this or at least a theory about this matter?"

Zera became quiet for a while before she spoke. "There were many rumored reasons or theories regarding to this. Two of the most famous and accepted legend about this were this region had defied a powerful existence and made an all-out war to that existence. It is said that this war had been lasted for an entire generation! The conclusion of this war is vague and the two famous legend had the same beginning but had a different ending. The first was that powerful existence has won the war and later on he punished this region by letting this region to not see the sunlight again and experience an eternal curse and that is having a non-stop raining. While the other legend was this region had won the war and the leader of this region suppress and sealed that powerful existence in this region and the rain was used to suppress other enemies that have been buried on the ground!"

Even though Zera knew it already is still trembling a little when she finished speaking. While Ace on the other hand is in amazement! A war that had been lasted for an entire generation? Just how strong this both side that it is needed a whole generation just to have a conclusion on their war?

"Then just who are the people involved in this war and what are the cause of this war? Why would they defy that existence?" He asked after a few moment. Of course this legend regarding on this region had piqued his interest.

She look at the interested man which on the same age as him. She slowly remove her mask and she let out a faint smile. This faint but beautiful smile can conquer all man! Very few who can resist this smile. Even Ace became affected by this charm so he quickly shifted his head.

Zera chuckled only when she saw this and she slowly spoke. "Like what I've said before, this region is belong to the Sampu Continent or also known as Sampu Regions. In the past each region of this continent are always have a conflict and even treat to each other as enemy. Of course there are still those who are allied. Becoming one is nearly impossible task but there is someone who manage to pull it. He force the regions to submit to him by using his unfathomable and heaven defying power."

"That time, this continent became one of the most feared place. Only few who can stand to them equally. No one can oppose that person in that time until someone from a certain region managed to groomed a powerful person and this person made an all-out war later on! And this person came from here. That war that lasted for generation had actually happened here!" She said in a serious manner.

"Because that existence has a fully control of this continent he ordered them to fight with this person. Of course not all of the regions had attacked. This person also managed to gain two of the other region support. While some of them are decided to be neutral. Three are on that person side while four on that powerful existence side. This made that existence to gain some advantage but still that person's side are persistent so it lasted for generation. The result for who is the victorious on this war is not clear so it's either of them have won. From all of these uncertain there is one thing that is certain. After the war all of the regions involved had experience a huge impact on their foundations because mostly all powerful figures on that time had died. These regions began to decline and they only manage to stand up again these past decades." She let out a sigh when she finished talking. For her this kind of experience is not a simple feat. How can it be easy to regain their power again if they are on decline? It takes time and patience to do this.

The two of them became silent for a while until Ace wore the robe and after that he look to Zera. "So you said that it is raining here but why it isn't raining here? If I'm correct this is part of the region right?"

She stunned a little upon hearing this question but she nodded later on. "Yes you're right this is a part of the region and even me can't tell you the exact reason about of this matter. I heard that there were a time that the rain will be weaken but will not stop."

"Well the clouds looks like it is about to rain but it's not. Never mind then if you don't know the reason. We should also start heading on that mountain before it will close." He turned around and told Zera to get ready.

Zera wore the robe and she put back her mask. After that Zera took the lead because she is more familiar to this location than Ace. They continue their journey toward the mountain. The two are not in a hurry so they took their time.

Half day had passed and it is dark already so they decided to camp in a open ground right in front of the forest.

Ace suddenly whispered to Zera. No one can hear what he is saying now but after that the young lady suddenly only nodded.

After a while, Ace slowly said in a very faint way that only Zera can hear and understand.

"Be prepared." After that Ace narrowed his eyes.
