(Clara's point of view)
I walked silently out of the place with Johnson. The place of the beautifully lighted musical hallway. Immersed in my thoughts, I smiled silly to myself. My birthday. The day that never existed in 11 years. Today was my birthday. I was quite shocked, to be honest, that he wished me. Well, I surely did not remember today is my birthday. It was probably because I was studying hard and stuff, I mean my friends and I are graduating soon. 1 month later and our exams are over. I took composing and history of music. I know, weird. The class was full of composers and singers. Few musicians. Emma, Horan and Eva was taking designing courses, so I often went to class alone.
If you were wondering, I skipped a grade, so technically Johnson was graduating in a month too, his 19 right?
"Clara? Erm, left not right and you're going to walk into the wall." Johnson said pulling me back. From hitting the wall and to reality. "So? How's Uni?"
"Ah, great. I'm graduating this year. In a month from Arts University." I said trying to ignore the ghost of his hand on my arm.
"Composing and History of Music? I could help you. I took the course too." He did? But he was not in my class the last time I checked. I looked at him in question. His 20?
"Skipped 5 grades, graduated 4 years ago if you're wondering." That's a lot of skipping. He graduated at 14? When I was still in Secondary 4 (I skipped a grade). Is he amazing or amazing? He laughed slightly at my expression. What can you say though? I was so damn impressed that I forgot the feeling of his hand on my arm.
"Where you want to eat?" I looked around. Where should it be?
"I know where," he softly told me as he guided me to the famous pasta in town. Okay, my taste never changed but how the fu*k did he remember that I loved pasta? Then again, that was probably how he skipped so many grades. Awesome memorising skills. When I finally decided to look up, he was already ordering which pasta. Okay, he got my order correct. I just wondered how.
"So why did you want to join? Erm. Spring Symphonies?" I smiled at his question and replied easily and calmly.
"I love music." This was so true. Music was my life, my drug and till today, it still is.
"If I was still 13 on that bus, I would hi-five you but I guess we're too old for it." I sighed inwardly but nodded. He still remembered that day. That day when we first met on the bus on a field trip.
Soon, the food came and the topic changed to the food. Weird topic to talk about anytime of the day but then again weird comes with Clara Symphony Anderson and probably, Johnson Parker. I never really knew him, so I would not know but I guess he was weird.
"Hey you want to hear yourself play?" I looked at him with a frown? What was he talking about? how could I hear myself play when I was so engrossed in playing. It came naturally to me...even if my mind was thinking about something else...I would be able to play. It was my second nature
