Chapter Seven

I sighed as I turned around in my bed. It had been 3 hours since I left Joslyn's place after ¨Confessing¨ my crush for Kayla. 

I rolled my eyes and groaned aloud. 

Honestly I didn't know how I felt, I knew I didn't love her, I mean I had basically just met her! 

I had been laying in bed for at least 2 hours thinking over this, while occasionally rolling over and shuffling around trying to get comfortable.  

After about another 20 minutes of laying there I got up and decided to give up on sleep. 

I walked down the stairs to my kitchen and got some Ice cream. 

I then sat in the living room and watched TV when I heard my phone go off.

 I sat down my bowl and the remote and picked up my phone to see I got a message from an odd number but I smiled to see the contact name

I unlocked my phone and clicked on the message. 

¨Hey, You up?¨ 1 minute ago 

¨Yea, why are you? :)¨ 2 seconds ago

I laid back into my couch and waited for my phone to go off again. 

¨Can I come over..please? My parents are fighting and my dad hit my mom..¨  1 second ago

¨yes of course, Im so sorry, im on my way¨ 1 second ago

I jumped up and slipped on my converse and grabbed my keys and locked the door as I walked out and walked to my car. 

I looked at the time and seen it was 1:30 and I was currently wearing leggings and a crop top, so I decided to throw on a t-shirt seeing as it was cold and searched for my jacket, and failing so  I shrugged and left my house locking the door and hopped in the car. 

I backed out driving towards her house. 

Once I pulled in She came running out with a tear stained face and she got into the car quickly. 

I didn't say anything, I just simply backed out and drove. 

I turned the radio on and the song ¨One More Light¨ by linkin Park came on and she hummed along looking out the window. 

Once I pulled into my drive way I got out and she followed behind me sniffling occasionally. 

¨I'm sorry its late, I just couldnt stay there..¨"she mumbled. 

I pulled her into a hug knowing she needed it right now and she broke down in my arms as I stood comforting her. 

After about 2-3 minutes she pulled back and wiped her tears. 

¨Thank you for everything..¨ she said I simply nodded with a soft smile. 

¨You seem tired, come on¨ I said as I went towards the steps having her follow.

 I went to my bedroom and opened up the door and she laughed behind me. 

I turned around curious. 

¨Oh nothing it's just I tend to be sleeping here a lot lately¨ She said with a sad smile.

 I smiled towards her and turned on the lights. 

¨Im pretty sure you know youre way around by now,¨ I said jokingly and she smiled ¨Ill be in the living room on the couch if you need me.¨ I stated and I turned around

¨Wait no, could you just uhm..¨ She trailed off and scooted over patting the spot beside her.

 ¨I feel bad making you sleep on the couch¨ she spoke quietly. 

¨Well I suppose...¨ I said and I laid down in the empty space.

 She smiled a real smile for the first time that night and laid down, as well as I did.

¨Goodnight Taylor..¨ she spoke quietly and she drifted off into sleep.

¨Goodnight Kayla..¨ with that I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
