"Hey (y/n), let's go to the garden." Kougyoku said. "All right." I answered. I left a red faced Judal and the others as I followed Kougyoku to the garden. We sat down in the shade of the peach tree I ran in when Judal was attacking us earlier. "I'm sorry about Judal. He appears to be really mean, but he's actually somewhat nice once you've lived with him for a while." Kougyoku said as she smiled shyly at me. "You don't need to apologize Kougyoku." I replied. She smiled at me.
"So, do you wanna play a game?" she asked me. "Sure, what's the game?" I asked. "It's just a game to get to know each other better. It's called 'Favorites'." she said. "Basically, we each take turns saying a topic and we'll say our favorite of that topic. For instance, if I were to say that color was the topic, we would each say our favorite color and then you would pick a topic, and we'd keep going until we can't think of any more topics." She explained.
"All right. That sounds fun." I answered. "Ok. I'll pick the topic first. How about favorite fruit?" she said as she looked at me questioningly. "(Favorite fruit)." I replied. "Cool. Mines a peach." she said blushing a bit. "All right your turn." she said. "Favorite animal?" I asked her. "Can it be fictional?" she asked. I nodded yes. "I like those things from myths that I've heard from the old wives' tales. It's like a horse with wings and a horn on its head." she said with sparkles in her eyes.
"Yes, I've heard of those. My favorite animal is a dragon." I answered her. "Dragons are a cool fictional animal too." she said. "Dragons exist though. Maybe not here, but they do exist." I said looking up into the sky.
"Really? I'd love to see one in real life. Big brother Kouen says they don't exist though." she said sadly. "Don't worry. I can guarantee you that they do exist." I smiled at her. "Awesome!" she squealed. "What are you two doing out here?" we heard a voice from next to us. Kougyoku got startled, squeaked, and jumped on me. "Hello prince Kouha." I said to the girlish-looking prince. "Hello!" he exclaimed back.
"Kouha you scared me!" Kougyoku exclaimed, still holding on to me. "I haven't met you yet. What's your name?" he asked me. "It's (y/n), prince Kouha." I replied while petting Kougyoku's hair to calm her down. "Nice to meet you." he said. "Kougyoku, King Sinbad said he wants to meet with you." Kouha said. Kougyoku got very red and started to stutter. "Wh-why does he want t-to meet w-with me?" she questioned her older half-brother. "He said he needed to talk to you in private." Kouha said.
As she got up she was wobbling terribly, almost as if she were nervous to meet with him. Well, I don't know very much about their past. Maybe they had a thing? "Would you like me to accompany you?" I asked her. "Y-yes p-please." she stuttered out. "He said he wanted you alone." prince Kouha said, putting emphasis on the 'alone' part. "A-alright." Kougyoku stuttered as she wobbled her way back into the palace towards the King's chambers.
"Do you know why the King wished to have a meeting with her alone Prince Kouha?" I asked. "Oh he didn't want to see her. I just wanted to play a little prank." the prince replied. I looked back towards the direction Kougyoku walked off and was about to go after her when a hand grabbed my arm and started dragging me in the opposite direction. "It was (y/n) right? I want you to play with me." prince Kouha said as he continued to walk at a fast pace. "Play with you?" I questioned. "Yeah. You were playing a game with Kougyoku before I decided to interrupt you guys. So, since you're free right now, you're going to play that game with me." Kouha said.
"What about princess Kougyoku?" I asked him. "She'll be fine. Really embarrassed, but fine." prince Kouha said. "If you say so your highness." I replied, still feeling worried for Kougyoku. "You can call me Kouha." he said as he stopped infront of a room. "This is my room. We're going somewhere else though, I just need to tell my servants. Junjun, Jinjin, Reirei!" prince Kouha yelled at the door. In an instant, there were three girls in the door way. "(Y/n) is going to play a game with me. We'll be in Judal's room if you need me." he said as he walked, still dragging me, down a hall despite his servants efforts to remind him of his work.
We arrived at a door not long after our departure with his servants. He was about to throw open the doors when I asked him, "Shouldn't we knock and ask if we can go in first?" He looked at me and shrugged. "Judal is never in his room anyways. At least not when I'm in there. He's probably flying around either looking for Hakuryuu or bothering Hakuryuu." prince Kouha replied. "All right. If you say so your highness." I replied. "I told you to call me Kouha." he whined. "I'm sorry. It's a habit." I apologized. "Just try to remember." he said as he threw open the door. We heard a shriek and suddenly my sight was stripped from me.
