Chapter 8: Playing Favorites

After everything blacked out, I could still hear. "Goddammit Kouha I swear I'm going to kill you! Haven't you ever heard of knocking first?!" I heard Judal yell. "Judal, perhaps you should put some clothes on before you start lecturing Kouha." a voice spoke next to me. It was King Sinbad's voice, I assumed he was the one who covered my eyes. "You know what Sinidiot don't you lecture me on anything. I would have gotten dressed if Kouha hadn't barged in on me! Wait, where did that little punk go! Dammit Kouha I swear I'm going to murder you some day!" Judal yelled as my eyesight was regained.

I saw Judal pulling his shirt over his head and he had a towel around his waist. "What the hell are you looking at (y/n)!" he yelled at me as he went back into his bathroom to put his pants on. "Miss (y/n), what are you doing here?" a voice asked from behind me. I turned around and saw King Sinbad, Jafar, and Kougyoku. "Prince Kouha wanted to play 'Favorites' with me and suggested we play in Judal's room." I replied.

"Why the hell in my room, and what the hell is 'Favorites'?" Judal asked closing his room door and joining us in the hall. "I assume he wanted to get away from his servants and work." Kougyoku said with rage laced in her voice. She must've been upset to find out that Kouha had pulled a prank on her. "'Favorites' is a game where you say a topic and everyone says their favorite of that topic. I was playing it with (y/n) to get to know her better. Before Kouha interrupted." she explained.

"Should we play then?" King Sinbad asked. "I think not Sin! You still have mountains of paperwork to do! Don't you even think about skipping out again!" Jafar said as he pointed accusingly at King Sinbad. "C'mon Jafar loosen up. Let's play!" the king said jovially. "What are we playing?" Aladdin asked as he, Morgiana, and Alibaba rounded the corner with the 8 Generals close behind. "Sin is not playing anything! He's going to go back to his office and do his work!" Jafar said as he pointed in the direction of King Sinbad's office. "We're going to play 'Favorites' with (y/n)." King Sinbad said ignoring Jafar's constant nags and threats to get him back to his work. "Can we play?" Aladdin asked.

"Yeah! Let's all play!" Kougyoku exclaimed happily. "Why don't we just ask (y/n) what her favorite things are? It would make this 'game' go by a lot faster." Judal suggested. "Wow look at you actually coming up with a good idea." Kouha said as he appeared behind Hakuryuu who also came down the other side of the hall. "You know what Kouha?!" Judal screeched. "What Judal?" Kouha asked obviously being oblivious to the rage seething out of not only Judal but Kougyoku as well. After many seconds of death glaring at the pink-haired girlish prince Judal just huffed and flew over to Hakuryuu.

"Let's just ask (y/n) questions. I'm tired." Judal whined. "Alright. How about we do it over dinner? It should be about ready by now." King Sinbad said. "Great! I'm starving!" Sharrkan exclaimed. We all made our way to the dining room and we all sat at the long table. I sat in between Kougyoku and Judal. Hakuryuu was on the other side of Judal and Kouha was on the other side of Kougyoku. King Sinbad sat across from Kougyoku and Alibaba across from me. Next to Alibaba was Morgiana and Aladdin. Then, the Generals sat down and Jafar sat on the other side of King Sinbad, in between King Sinbad and Kouha.

I looked around for Lady Sharla, King Citro, Amara, and Mistire. "Lady Sharla wished to eat early so that she could rest. King Citro ate with her and Princess Amara and Mistire requested to eat in their rooms." Jafar said to me. I nodded. The food came in not too long after we were all seated at the table. When the food came Aladdin started to stuff his face while also beginning to ask questions to me. "(Y/n) what's your favorite color?" Aladdin asked, his mouth full of food. "(Favorite color)." I replied.

"Ok, how about favorite past time?" Hakuryuu asked. "(Favorite past time)." I answered him while eating some of the food in front of me. "Favorite way to kill someone?" Judal asked as everyone gaped at him. "What? It's a question." Judal stated. "A stupid one." Kouha murmured. "Shut up Kouha!" Judal retaliated. "How about favorite weapon?" Sharrkan asked with sparkles in his eyes. "Really Sharrkan? Favorite weapon?" Yamuraiha rolled her eyes at him. "Shut up." Sharrkan said as he looked at me for his answer. "(Favorite Weapon)." I said. "Nice." Sharrkan said to me.

"What about favorite type of magic?" Yamuraiha asked next. Sharrkan mimicked her voice in a high–pitched, obnoxious voice. Yamuraiha got irritated and enclosed his head in an orb of water. "(Favorite magic type)." I answered, looking over to see Sharrkan struggling to get out of his watery prison. Yamuraiha removed the water and Sharrkan took in a deep breath. "Are you trying to kill me woman!?" he screeched into Yamuraiha's ear. "Shut up! You're so loud!" Yamuraiha yelled back. "All right all right. That's enough you two." King Sinbad said in attempt to calm the two Generals.

They both huffed and turned away from each other. "Honestly, just go make out already." Judal said as he threw up and caught a peach in his hand repeatedly. Both blushed furiously and started retaliating against the magi. "Should we turn in for the night." I whispered to Kougyoku. No one else had heard since they were all busy trying to calm down the blushing Generals and to stop any further destruction of the palace. "Sure. Let's go." Kougyoku said as we snuck out of the dining room quietly.

"Wow. They were really at each other's throatsweren't they? Did you see Kouha go flying across the room? It's a good thing hedidn't have his weapon or he would have tried to kill all of us." Kougyokulaughed. We stopped at Kougyoku's room since mine was further down the hallway."Well, goodnight (y/n). I'll see you in the morning at breakfast. Today wasfun, thank you so much for joining me." Kougyoku smiled. "Of course Kougyoku. I'llsee you tomorrow. Sleep well." I said as she retired to her room and closed thedoor. I continued the walk down the hall until I reached my room. My belongingswere already unpacked as I did that quickly before joining Kougyoku in thebath. I sat at the window and felt the cool night breeze brush my face. I felta presence and opened my eyes. I saw a dark figure in the distance before it disappeared.'It can't be...can it?'

Sorry for the wait and cliff hanger. I just had PSATs today. I'm dying inside, and I still have school tomorrow.
