"How dare you throw peaches at me!" Judal said as he raged at me. "Oh (y/n)! What happened to your shirt?" Lady Sharla said as she came rushing out from the other side of the court yard and started to worry over my shirt. "Lady Sharla, my shirt is fine. I'll have to repair it though." I said to her as she inspected the large rip on the left side of my shirt. "Don't you have any other clothes?" one of the Kou princesses asks. I believe her name was Kougyoku. I nodded my head to answer her question. I do, but I should still repair this shirt." I said to her, and she nodded in agreement.
"Why don't you go get changed then (y/n). I'll walk with you to your room." Lady Sharla said. We walked back into the palace and Lady Sharla led me to my room. When we got to the room I saw that Lady Sharla had put the few pairs of clothes I had brought on the bed. They were all the same white tank top and red shorts. I took off my tank top while Lady Sharla waited outside.
As I was still putting my shirt on, I saw a mirror in my peripheral vision. It was a large mirror on the wall. I looked into the mirror and I looked at the scars all over my back. The three slashes along with multiple stab wounds and whip marks. Those marks covered my entire torso. I paid no attention to the screams and malicious laughs that began to rise in my memories as I continued to put on my shirt and once again left the room.
"Don't you have any other clothes?" a voice asked. I looked at the source and it was Kougyoku. "No, I don't own any other clothes Your Highness." I said as I looked around for Lady Sharla. "If you're looking for Queen Sharla, she went to go settle a fight between Princess Amara and Princess Mistire." she said. She was probably walking past when Lady Sharla left to go take care of Amara and Mistire.
I felt a tug on my sleeve and I looked towards Princess Kougyoku. "Is there something you need?" I asked her. "Well I was wondering if you would accompany me to the town. I wish to go and look in the shops but no one wants to come with me." she said to me. "Of course. I'll go with you if that is what you wish Princess." I said to her. Suddenly I was grabbed by the arm. Kougyoku was now dragging me by my arm to the entrance of the palace. "Just call me Kougyoku, and thank you so much for agreeing to come with me." she said smiling at me. "I'm afraid I can't just call you that. I could call you Princess Kougyoku if that is acceptable for you." I said to her.
She pouted. "Please (y/n), just call me Kougyoku. I want to be friends with you." she said to me as we walked into a carriage that took us out the gates of the palace. "Friends?" I asked as I looked at her with my unchanging stare. "Yes, that's ok with you right?" she asked shyly. I nodded and she smiled brightly afterwards. She asked me questions during our short journey to the bustling streets below. Questions like, "What's your favorite color?", and "What's your favorite hobby?" We got out of the carriage once we reached the streets.
Kougyoku grabbed me by my elbow and began to drag me through the crowd as we look at different merchants and stalls. Some were selling hairpins and accessories, others had bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and all sorts of other jewelry. "Hey (y/n), which pin do you think looks better?" Kougyoku asked me as she held up two bracelets. One was jade and the other was a nice pink color. "I think the pink color would match better with your color scheme Kougyoku." I answered her. "Really, I thought so too." Kougyoku said as she smiled at me and paid for the bracelet.
The rest of the day we walked around Sindria. Kougyoku told me what it was like in Kou and how conflicted she felt about Judal and Sinbad. "Kougyoku it's getting late, we should head back to the palace now." I told her. She frowned and whined. "Do we have to go now? I was having so much fun." she pouted. "There's always tomorrow." I answered her. "How about when we get back we go take a bath then?" she suggested. "All right. If that's what you want." I answered her. We walked back to the palace and headed to the baths.
I got in before Kougyoku in an attempt to hide my scars. She jumped in not long after I did and we talked some more. "Hey (Y/N), where are you from? Since Vicire is a new empire it would only be assumed at you were somewhere else before you were at Vicire, right?" Kougyoku questioned me. "Well, to be honest My Princess, it's all a blur."

Ok, so this chapter is probably much shorter than the rest. I started school back at the beginning of August and I haven't been able to write since. I've been so held down with HW and I'm so sorry about that -_-. I know some of you might call this excuses and that's fine I completely understand that there are 1+ month gaps between my chapters. Just know that I am trying to get more chapters out. I'm sorry for the wait ;~;. Feel free to DM me ideas here, Insta, SC, or Kik (I just got one). I'll see you later my nonexistent readers.
P.S. Enjoy my lovely HunterxHunter children on the top. Gon and Killua are so precious XD
