I rushed out the door with Bei on my back; my father was right next to me, keeping an eye on our surroundings encase Sasori tried to stop us. My father gasped and looked around frantically - he could sense something.
"What is it daddy?" Bei asked, almost in tears.
I frowned and followed my dads eyes seeing familiar red-pink hair. "Oh no," I whispered, my father moved into a fighting stance. I frowned and grasped my fathers arm with my spare hand.
"Lets go dad, please. I don't want to lose you; where do they even live?" I whimpered, finding myself staring into Sasori's eyes. There was no emotion in his eyes, non at all.
"Join me Mika," He said, stepping out from the shadows of the sand hills.
I shook my head and tugged on my fathers arm, "Lets go dad, please," I cried out, tugging harder.
My father shoved me to the ground and yelled at me, "Get the hell out of here Mika!" My eyes watered and I gripped Bei's legs and ran off in the direction we were headed.
"Why isn't daddy coming?" Bei asked, I smiled to myself, glad that Bei could actually speak properly so I wouldn't have to listen to him scream at me.
"He's staying behind to stop the bad man from hurting us," I gasped out, already tired from running and I had only just gotten far enough so I couldn't see Sasori. "Where are going?" I frowned and focused the tiny amount of chakra I had into my legs, running faster then before.
"We're going to visit the Hyuga's, mummy's friends," Bei smiled and then yawned.
"Go to sleep hunny," I whispered, and his eyes shut. I shook my head with a smile, thinking to myself 'how can he sleep when hes bouncing up and down furiously' and then I giggled, thinking about how wrong it sounded.
"Shh, me sleepy," Bei mumbled, pulling my hair. I groaned but stopped when I saw Sasori appear; "You will be mine," He growled, doing a hand sign that I'd never seen before. Then two puppets ran at me, I freaked out knowing I had only been taught medic jutsu. I moved out of the way, hearing a loud clash. I looked up to see my father, covered in blood. His blood.
"Father!" I screamed out, tears falling down my cheeks. He looked at me and gave me a weak smile.
"Get out of here while you can Mika, run as fast as you can and don't stop," He choked out, and I gripped Bei even tighter and ran, trying to block my eyes so that sand didn't get in my eyes; it would only make me more vulnerable.
I kept running, I couldn't looked back, I was scared that what I would see would haunt me for the rest of my life, but knowing Sasori, my best friend had killed my father would be enough to make me lose it if I stopped.
"Daddy!" Bei screamed and I looked back, at the worst time. Sasori was standing above my father with a shuriken in his hand, I stopped and watched as he slit my fathers throat. My tears started to flow more freely at that sight.
"Father!" Bei screamed even louder which caused Sasori to look at us. Sasori's eyes fell upon me, this was his first time ever to see me cry. He started to walk towards me but I turned around and ran off, Bei was hitting hitting my back repeatedly yelling at me.
"Lets go back to dad!" He cried, "Lets save him, lets bring him with us!" Bei screamed in my ear.
"Shut up already Bei! He's dead!" I screamed, and found myself losing balance as I fell; I hadn't seen that I had reached a cliff. The last thing I heard was Bei scream, and then a splash. My head hit something, hard and I found myself losing consciousness.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, shutting my eyes. Feeling my throat burn as the water filled my mouth.
"Is she alright?" I heard a small girls voice say, I opened my eyes to see a small girl with short hair, and bangs. It was a dark blue, almost a black type of colour. Her eyes were a pure white. She must have the Byakugan that the Hyuga family held.
"She's fine, I managed to stop the bleeding. We must get her back to your father, this is Riku's daughter, Mika Kimura," The man said, he had the same eyes as her but his hair was a dark brown. The girl, nodded her head and helped the boy pick me up and carry me. I didn't like being so close to this man, Sasori is the only boy that I have ever let hold me that wasn't blood related.
"W-who a-are you?" I managed to choke out, the man looked down at me, no emotion on his face.
"My name is Neji Hyuga, and this is Hinata," He whispered, looking at her with adoration. It was completely adorable; She smiled at me and then turned back around concentration the ground in front of her. The man sighed softly and continued walking. I was confused at that, they would be cute together and its obvious he likes her but does she like him... ? I shook my head free of those thoughts before Bei popped in.
"Shit!" I yelled, jumping out of his arms, causing him to jump.
"Wheres Bei!?" I yelled, looking around frantically, Neji smiled softly; I have a feeling he doesn't smile too often.
"He's already with Hinata's mother and father," He said, softly before picking me back up bridal style. I blushed and looked away, thinking about what Sasori has done. Will I ever be able to forgive him?
"We're here," Neji said, stopping. I looked at the building before me and smiled as I heard Bei's cheerful voice.
