I walked outside with Hinata at my side, she was giggling away at something Kiba had said.
"Have you guys heard anything from Naruto?" I asked, which caused Hinata to blush and shake her head no.
"Nope, he's not due back for another month or so," Kiba said and I nodded with a sigh.
"Hey guys!" Sakura's voice rang through out the room, Kiba groaned and I laughed at his sudden lack of conversation.
"Hey Sakura," I smiled as she came into perfect hearing distance. She grinned and hugged me tightly, causing Hinata to giggle a little.
"How are you?" She asked in a sing song type of voice, and I gave her a confused look.
"What are you on?" She giggled and looked over at Kiba who was glaring at her, with a look saying 'Don't you dare'.
"Somebody likes you!" She said, dragging out the 'o' in you. I blushed and looked down, my hair falling into my face.
"I doubt that," I whispered, feeling their stares on me. Hinata pulled me into a tight hug and gently kissed my temple.
"Y-you're beautiful M-mika!" She whispered and I grinned and hugged her back.
"You have no idea how much that means to my coming from someone as gorgeous as you Hinata," I mumbled into her shoulder. When I pulled away I noticed how Kiba was staring directly at me. As soon as he noticed me looking at him, he looked away blushing. I giggled and bent down, patting Akamaru who barked happily in return.
"Well, I'm going to get back to Lady Tsunade, see ya!" She yelled, running off. Hinata giggled and started to walk off.
"I-I have to speak to N-neji, have fun!" I gave her a look saying 'Don't you leave me!' but she ran off quicker instead. I found myself blushing as I looked back over at Kiba who gave me a small smile, blushing himself.
"So, Kiba. What's up?" I asked, he smiled and blushed a lot.
"The usual, yourself?" He asked, scratching his head, smiling awkwardly. I giggled at Kiba and glomped him, causing him to blush furiously.
"Same! Do you know who's crushing on me?" I asked, giving Kiba my puppy dog eyes, which caused him to blush and stare in awe.
"K-kind of, Mika." He started, "Do you maybe want to go to the park with me?" He asked, a hopeful look in his eyes. I smiled at him and nodded my head, placing my hand in his. As we reached the park we sat down, enjoying the sun. It reminded me of Sasori; beautiful and so radiant. I haven't heard of him since I came to the leaf village and its been about 3 years or so; he hasn't left my mind since. I always end up seeing something that'll remind myself of him and his beautiful smile - and his puppets.
"Mika, why did you come to the Leaf Village?" Kiba asked, staring up at the sky. I looked over at him and sighed.
"Its quite personal but since we're pretty close I'll tell you," I started and he turned his attention to me, I smiled and looked up at the sky.
"I was best friends with Sasori in the Sand Village, you know the puppet master?" I said, looking at Kiba who nodded and I smiled.
"Well, we were walking to his place when he told me he joined the Akatsuki and wanted me to join; he said all these things about being able to protect me forever and to be together forever but I refused because of my father and my little brother, not only that but I would disgrace my family on my mothers side - the Hyuga's." Kiba nodded again, placing his hand on mine and giving me a warm smile.
"Well, he got mad but I walked off saying that sometimes we have to let go of the one thing we love the most to understand who we really are, who we're suppose to be, and I ran home and told my father almost immediately and he told me we had to leave and come here to stay with the Hyuga's; I was 13 so I did exactly as my father said. I regret it though; because maybe if I had stayed or went with Sasori, my father would still be alive. Its a terrible memory," I whispered and he frowned, pulling me into a tight hug.
"Not only that but my little brother said a few things and I wasn't paying attention and we fell off a cliff, silly me didn't even see it because I was too stressed and my little brother was pounding on my back," I stopped there to giggle and Kiba smiled and kissed my cheek but left his lips there for another 10 seconds.
"Next thing I know, I'm safe with Neji and Hinata - I'm surprised I lived, that was a big fall," I said, looking at Kiba who smiled softly.
"I'm glad you're alive; you're my best friend after all," He gave me a fake smile and I frowned.
"What's wrong Kiba?" He blushed and looked away, and shrugged. I put my arm around his shoulder and gently kissed his cheek, giving him the puppy dog eyes. He blushed even more and then looked down.
"B-because I-I l-like-" Sakura cut him off by appearing out of the shadows. Kiba looked relieved, but I wasn't too happy.
"Hinata likes Naruto!" She giggled, sitting next to me and Kiba. I've never seen her so giggly before. I smiled and shook my head.
"Everybody already knows Sakura," She mouthed an 'oh' before looking at how close me and Kiba were. She grinned evilly.
"Did I interrupt something?" I looked over at Kiba before shaking my head no.
"Nope, nothing," I smiled and she rolled her eyes.
"Sureee!" I laughed and watched as she ran off. I looked over at Kiba who was staring off into the distance.
"What were you saying?" I said, smiling at Kiba who looked at me confused before blushing.
"I like you," He whispered, staring at me with a hopeful glint in his eyes. I smiled.
"I like you too Kiba," I whispered, placing my hand on his and gently kissing his lips. I heard Sakura yelling 'finally' behind us but I ignored her, taking in this moment.
