Think I overcome them then turn, they're still there

The club is loud, sweaty, and crowded. Tony yells something to me and I just nod. The next thing I know, he's disappeared, and I don't know anyone around me. Well this should be fun. I push my way to the bar and order a virgin cosmopolitan. While the bartender gets me my drink, I look around at the other faces at the bar. There are lot's of girls wearing the amount of makeup that I would only wear onstage and the frat boy types. Directly to my left are, holy shit, is that who I think it is? I look at the first boy, red hair, brown eyes, dancer body. Yep that's Sky Flaherty. So the boy next to him must be Ben Cook. Holy crap. Two newsies in the same bar as me. Wow okay. Well Sage you are in Manhattan and broadway people live here.

"Your drink." I turn around to see a cosmo placed in front of me.

"Thanks." I take a sip and cough. "Oh wow. This is not a virgin." I say to the bartender but he had moved on to another customer.

"Hey." I hear a voice next to me.

"Oh thank God. Tony, can we leave? This bartender gave a regular cosmo but I asked for a virgin. I'm not really trying to be hung-over for my audition tomo-" I look up from my purse where I was currently looking for a piece of gum. "You aren't Tony." I'm looking right at Ben Tyler Cook.

"No I am not." He laughs and his eyes crinkle. "I'm Ben."

"I know." I mentally face palm. "I mean, I know you're Ben. I'm Sage. I'm a huge musical theater fan. I'm actually here studying musical theater. I have an audition tomorrow for Mean Girls and I figured it wouldn't be a good impression if I was hungover."

"Woah." Ben holds up a hand. "Slow down tiger." He waves Sky over. "This is Sky, but I'm assuming you already knew that." He winks at me and I blush.

"Um yeah. So I'm just gonna go then." I point awkwardly to the door and spin around. Unfortunately when I spun around I smacked right into the approaching chest of Sky Flaherty. I start to fall backwards but Sky wraps an arm around my waist and pulls me up. My face gets even redder if possible. "Bye." I twist myself out of his grasp and shove my way out of the club. When I get to the curb I realize I have no idea how to get home. I didn't pay attention when Tony was bringing me here and now I'm beginning to regret that decision.

"Hey, Sage right?" I hear Sky say behind me.

"Um yeah." I turn around and see that he had thrown a sweatshirt over his shirt. "Sorry about in there. I ramble when I get nervous."

"It's okay." He laughs and stands next to me. "Is this your first night in the city?"

"Is it that obvious?" I laugh awkwardly.

"A little." Sky smirks. "Auditioning for Mean Girls huh?"

"Yeah." I sigh. "I probably won't get in, I just want the experience."

"Experience is good." He agrees. "Do you need help getting home?" He asks when I pull out a map.

"Yes. Oh my god, this is so embarrassing. I wanted to be a true new yorker but I can't even find my way around the city."

"Don't sweat it. Where do you live?"

"Greenwich Village."

"Fancy. It's this way."

I figured he was just going to point me in the right direction but Sky starts walking with me.

"Tell me about yourself."

"Well I'm 18 and going to Tisch for musical theater." I reply.

"That's it?" He raises his eyebrows.
