Keith pushed a long strand of jet black hair out of his face and gave Lance a half smile.
Lance.
The name felt so perfect to Keith, so... right.

"Lance....?"

"McClain. Lance McClain."

"Right. And I'm..."

"You're Keith Kogane."

"How did you...?"

"I just know! Ok?" Lance snapped.

Keith was taken aback. The boy had seemed so quiet and shy, it was completely unexpected.

"I'm sorry," Keith said warily, not wanting to overstep once again.
Lance took a deep breath, in and out.

"No, it's not your fault, don't worry about it." Once again, Lance was wearing the smile that made Keith want to melt into a puddle on the floor.
Keith placed a hand on the Cuban boy's Shoulder, looking him straight in the eyes.

"Look, I've only just met you but let me give you some advice. Talk less, smile more (Get this reference and I will love you forever) because, honestly? Your smile alone has brightened my whole day, it's made me forget about such a shitty situation. To be honest, your smile has got to be the one thing distracting me from the fact that I'm still in an unknown, abandoned park."
Lance's face lit up.
"You really mean that?"

"I do."

"Wait. You mentioned a 'shitty situation'. What happened?"

"It's weird, you probably won't believe me, or understand."

Lance smiled knowingly.
"Try me."

Keith shrugged.
"If you insist."

So, Keith described, in full detail, the events of his day. He started by telling Lance of his issues at school, about how he was regarded as an outcast and a weirdo, before going on to explain how he had been on his way to school when the car crash had occurred, Lance nodding and listening intently the whole time. He finished by telling the other boy that he had ended up here, in this park, with no real explanation.
"And then..." Keith hesitated. "Then I found you."

"Hm," Lance raised his eyebrows playfully, "You don't look like you've just been in a car crash."

Keith held up his hands in fake surrender. "Hey, you wanted to know what happened, I never said you had to believe me."

Lance punched his shoulder lightly, smiling. "It's alright, I believe you."

He stood up, Keith doing the same. "You wanna get out of here?" He said, stretching. "I need a change of scenery."

"Um... sure," Keith replied, a little unsure as to where they would go, considering that this park had been all he could see when he had arrived in this place.

"Great!" Lance enveloped Keith's hand in his own and ran out of the park, pulling the raven haired boy along with him. As they left the park, Keith noticed that the fog had started to clear, and, in the distance, he could see a street, maybe even people walking down it.

'None of this was here earlier. I know for a fact that none of this was here earlier.'

However, he pushed all logic out of his mind. For once he was content, just running through that field, his hand clasping Lance's, racing through what was now luscious, green grass-

Keith awoke in a hospital bed, panting. He gingerly touched his face and felt the scars all over it.

No.... it couldn't be possible....

That gorgeous boy, with his stunning smile and ocean blue eyes, the boy who Keith had started to fall for....

He didn't even exist.

A/N: OH SNAPPPP, AND ITS ONLY CHAPTER 2. Not gonna lie I planned for this to happen a lot later on.... oops. I just wanted to clarify the ending for anyone who didn't understand it, the car crash was a real thing, but what just happened with Lance was a dream and now Keith is in hospital, poor boi. There we go. I swear I always ramble at the end of chapters... anyway, thanks for reading!
