Adelaide POV
"Why?" was the first question out of Angelica's mouth. Pippa sighed, her eyes full of sympathy.
"That was the police station. They've finished their autopsies and they need you to come in to make funeral arrangements," Pippa explained.
I nod, somberly. Angelica stands up without another word. Lin and Pippa exchange glances, clearly worried about me, before heading out to the car. I follow suite.

In the car, Angelica leans over and squeezes my hand to comfort me. Her brown eyes are filled with sorrow. I glance out the window, and see the police station. I swallow and squeeze Angelica's hand back.

At the Police station
"Adelaide Waters, Phillipa Soo and Lin-Manual Miranda?"
"May our daughter, Angelica Miranda-Soo come back as well?" Pippa asks.
"If it is alright with Adelaide," he responds. I nod, giving my consent and Angelica stands up to follow us.

"I'm Officer Bryon," The police officer says, before turning his attention to me.

"You're Adelaide Tessa Waters?" I nod, not trusting myself to speak.

"Daughter of Harper Alice Waters and, James Allen Waters? Sister of Avalynn Fiona Waters?"

Again, I nod.
"Where are you originally from?" Offixer Bryon asks.

"Naperville, Illinois," I responded.

"Would you like to have their funeral there or here?"

"There, please. It means more. Mom and Dad's friends are there, Ava's friends, my friend. Naperville means much more to them than New York." I say. Before Officer Bryon can ask another question, the tears come. Pippa leans over and hugs me while Lin starts to take care of everything, sensing that I can't take anymore. I'm sad. Everyone died because of me and yet I can still find it in myself to be happy. I keep asking the same question. Why?
