Foster Care

Pippa POV
I really don't know why I decided to bring Addy home. I felt bad for her and knew she couldn't sleep out on the streets. So, I let her come home with me. Angelica and Lin like her. As I laid there, contemplating the events that occurred yesterday, Lin woke up.
"Morning sweetheart." He said.
"Morning babe." I responded, leaning over and giving him a peck on the lips.
"What are you thinking about? I know it's something important, you have that look on your face that you get when your thinking about something serious."
"What!" I burst out laughing. "What is this look you are talking about?"
"Like this." He tries to demonstrate and ends up looking he really had to go to the bathroom. I double over, I'm laughing so hard.
"Well." I say, "That is an interesting look." Lin holds his hands up in surrender.
"Well, I was wondering if we could foster Adelaide. I can't let her go into the world of foster care. I mean, she would be in foster care here, but ya know, we wouldn't be abusing her. You should know, if you pay attention at the meetings we have with Graham Windham, that awful things can happen in foster care. Adelaide is so sweet, I don't want her to be abused. Lin." Lin cuts me off.
"Pippa, of course we can foster Addy." I smile and snuggle into his side.
"Ahem." I hear a cough. I look up to see Angelica.
"Addy and I made breakfast." She says.
"Breakfast!" Lin yells, shoving me off him.
"So you love breakfast more then me." I say, pretending to pout.
"No." He says. Lin picks me up and carrys me out to the table, where Addy is waiting. There are pancakes, eggs and bacon. We serve ourselves and begin to eat.
"So, Addy." I begin. She looks up at me.
"Yeah?" She asks, her voice small.
"Lin and I were wondering if you would like for us to foster you."
"Really?" She says. I nod.
"Yes, thank you so much." She hugs Lin and then hugs me.
"Thank you Pippa. I don't know where I would be right now if you hadn't asked me if I was okay. Thank you Pippa."
"Addy, you are so very welcome."
"We have to go down to the police station to get this settled." Lin says. "So go get dressed and I'll do the same." I run upstairs to Lin and my bedroom and open my dresser. I pull on jean shorts and a white shirt that says Believe. I then brush my hair and French braid it. I put some makeup on and then walk downstairs. Addy is wearing some of Angelicas clothes.
"Jazzy, Renée and I will take you shopping, Addy." I offer.
"Okay. Thank you." Angelica then comes downstairs with a pair of shoes for Addy.
"Here." She says, handing them to her.
"Oh! Shoes!" I cry. "I almost forgot!" I run back upstairs and grab a pair of grey flats. Lin is still getting ready.
"Lin, hurry up. Addy, Angelica  and I are ready."
"Ready." He says, pulling a blue shirt on.
"Okay, lets go." I say when we get downstairs. The 4 of us pile into my car. I begin driving to the police station, not really sure where to go. By the time we get there, I'm brimming with excitement. Angelica and Addy hop out if the car and we go inside. I explain the situation to a lady who is working at a desk. She pages an Officer Montoya. He helps us fill out the necessary paperwork. He also makes sure that Addy feels safe there.  We finally leave the police station. Lin suggusts we get ice cream to celebrate. Angelic, Addy and I agree that it sounds like a good idea.
"To our family!" I say raising my ice cream dish.
"To our family." Lin, Angelica and Addy repeat.
