"Wait!" I managed to shout before the attendants could come charging at me. "Now, now, let's not do anything to rash. I mean, look at me!" I gestured to my blood-soaked dress with it's ripped fringes and my used-to-be-black boots. "As much fun as it is killing people, it would be a total shame to kill me when I look so terrible."
The attendants looked back at the Queen, waiting for her signal. She shook her head, her bouncy, bright red hair spiraling out of control. Snickers started to escape her, before she burst out into full laughter. "What a brilliant idea! What a smart Alice! Take her to the Spade Room and get her prettied up for the execution! It'll be.... tomorrow at...-"
"3:30!" The Hatter interrupted with excitement.
The Queen's light, happy gaze snapped back to him with a dark glare. "Hatter! Leave!" She snapped her fingers, and the Hatter disappeared into thin air. "That's better. How about.. at 3:31... P.M. of course. I never wake up earlier than 9:59. Now go!"
Her attendants rushed up to me, grabbing me by the arms. They dragged me out of the large throne room back out the the hall. The castle was an absolute maze, with rooms of different shapes and sizes branching off of random hallways and staircases that seemed to not follow any pattern in particular. Suddenly, we were in a single hallway with no rooms leading elsewhere. It was dark, with black lights spaced far apart. The walls were painted black, with grey spades littering the open space. The floor was covered in a plush, black carpet that sunk under my feet every step I took. A single room was at the end of the hallway. It was light up with red light.
The attendants started pushing me towards the white, faded doors. They stopped at the door, with one venturing forth and pressing the door on the large, black spade that was set into the middle. The doors swung open.
