Hi guys! This is the first book I've ever made. Sorry if it sucks. I'm working on it. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1

6. 6 months. 6 schools. 6 times being the new girl. This will be my 7th. Why would they do this to me? I didn't do anything to them! I sit there, in the car, not saying a word. I stare at the window as I guess which raindrop I think will make it to the bottom first.

I feel the leather beneath me with my fingertips, wanting to rip it to shreds. I can still smell the new car scent. It makes me wants to throw up. She hums in front of me, a tune that sounds like from a fairly tale. We run over a speed bump, at least 20 miles faster then the speed limit.

" Mom!" I yelp as I feel myself lift off of the black leather seat. I see her raise her eyebrows in the mirror.

" Yes dear?" I look at her incredulously. She must know she just did something wrong?! Right?!

" You just freakin ran over a speed bump! They're there to slow you down so crazies like you don't go and run somebody over! The rules apply to you too!" She sighs.

" I'm not having this talk with you right now. I know you're still mad but we'll be late if we don't hurry." I roll my eyes and stare back at my window. " I don't care." I mumble, not loud enough for her to hear. Then comes the sirens and I smile.

" Great job mom. First day of "new fancy school" and we're getting pulled over by a cop." I sigh and lean back into my seat. As we pull over to the left side of the road I look in the back window and see the red and blue lights flash.

We come to a stop and wait for the officer. My mom fiddles with her hands. She always gets nervous when she gets in trouble. I see a shadow walk past my window and hear footsteps crunch the gravel. My mom rolls down the window and I see hands rest on the edge. Then I hear a man's deep voice, talking in French.

" Bonjour..." Bonjour. That's the only word I know in French. Pretty pathetic that I now live in France but I don't know how to speak the language. He keeps on talking, probably asking my mom how fast she knew she was going. She talks back in French. I don't understand any of it. After awhile my mom reaches down into her purse and brings out her registrations. The man takes them, shining his flashlight on them so he can see. It's about 7 in the morning but today was cloudy and rainy and it felt like everybody's funeral was today.

" Andrea Coleman?" The officer looks up and my mom nods. She taps on the steering wheel impatiently. The officer walks back to his police car and we wait there for what seems like forever. Finally he comes back and says something to my mom and then we're off. I scrunch up my eyebrows.

" Did he give you a ticket?" I ask because I know I would of.

" No because he saw that we were new here and I said I didn't know what the speed limit was." I look at her, shocked.

" So you lied to him!" I shout, putting more force in my words then I wanted to. I see my mom open and close her mouth many times like she doesn't know what to say. Finally she speaks but it's not the answer I wanted.

" All that matters is that we only got a warning and I think you'll only be a few minuets late." I sit in silence the rest of the way, dreading every minuet of it. After awhile my mom turns onto a road leading into a lush forest.

I stare out my window, looking into the forest that has seemed to swallow up our car. The road whines it's was through the trees. It takes a while to get to our destination from here. Soon though, up ahead, I see a building. It's more of a castle I guess.

Two tower-like things stand on opposite sides while in between them was a building that connected with the towers. This building in the middle looked as big as a mansion. I stare. It must of been a very beautiful building before but now water stains run down the sides but I don't know if it's just the rain.

The path up to the giant school does a loop, passing the entrance but then going back down the way we had just came. Our car pulls up right at the entrance of two enormous wooden doors. There're carvings in the wood but I can't make them out. I take a deep breath when my mom starts to open her door and get out. I sigh and get out after her.

She pops the trunk and hands me my school bag. It's nothing special. It's a faded gray messenger bag that hangs from my shoulder. In it are notebooks and pencils, ready to be used. My mom closes the trunk and leans in to give me a hug. I don't hug her back.

" Good luck today! Try to make some friends!" And with that she got in the car and started down the road we came. I turn around and stare at the wooden doors and I knew this year was going to be very different from the last.

Ok so that was the first chapter. What did you guys think? Comment and vote! I'm open to suggestions! Thanks for reading though!
