Algebra is my last class of the day and let me tell you, it sucks. I was never really good at math when it didn't have letters with it and now it's even harder. So for most of the class I just sit in my chair and think about how messed up this school is.

There are crazy girls that want a guy that doesn't want me to tell everyone that I spent time with him but I didn't want to spend time with him because he kidnapped me and took me to this warehouse to box instead of going to dance class. I get a headache just thinking about.

" Ms. Coleman?" I snap my head up. I hadn't realized I was slowly drifting asleep.

" Yeah, what?" I respond, kind of rude, in a sleepy voice. I shake my head to clear my mind of sleep but it just makes it hurt more.

" Are you okay dear?" My Algebra professor walks over to my desk. She's a plump, middle age woman with spectacles.

" Yeah I'm just not feeling too good." she gives me a sympathetic look which I really hate because I have been given way too many of them. Most of them I got after the accident, my mom likes to call it. You don't call it a accident when someone dies.

Finally the bell rings and I grab my bag and hurry to my locker. I punch in the combination and grab any of my books that I have homework on which I kind of think is funny because I'm not going to do any of it. I put all of them in my bag and race towards the front doors, wanting to get out of this insane place.

Just before I reach out to grab them someone from behind me grabs my arm and pulls me back. I turn around to find that blonde kid that slapped my ass yesterday. What was his name again? Finn?

" What do you want?" I try to wrench my arm out of his grip but he grabs it tighter. It's starting to hurt. He smirks.

" You're different Coleman. I like different." he says with a wink and I roll my eyes.

" You got spunk." he smiles and walks away, leaving me standing by the doors. I grind my jaw and open the doors where I see my mom's car parked outside. That boy gives me the creeps and he needs to back off and leave me alone. I hop in shotgun and sigh. My mom looks at me, smiling warmly.

" So...how was school?" the million dollar question. I roll my eyes.

" Terrible, as usual." she purses her lips.

" I have a present for you when we get home." I look up at her, my eyebrow raised.

" Well it's not really a present but it's something I got you." Oh joy, can't wait.

The rest of the car ride is in silence. I start to fall asleep in the car just as we get home. My mom gets out excitedly as I slump out. She races for the house and I follow her. When we get inside she says for me to wait by the door as she goes into the kitchen and pulls out my present. She races back to me and hands me it.

It's the worst present I've ever gotten.
