I now notice that all the people standing in the front look slightly alike. Maybe they're all siblings? 3 out of the 4 guys look older than me. The other one that was starring at me looks about my age. He has his head down now, not looking at anyone. The girl steps forward and I can hear her high heels clip on the hard wood.

" Today is the first day so, as everyone knows, we'll," she waves behind her at the 4 guys, " will be giving tours to people who want one." she makes eye contact with me and then looks away quickly. She turns back to the guys. What's with these people? They don't have the nerve to look me in the eye?

One of the boys who looks to be the oldest steps forward and gives the rest of the tour speech. He has messy blond hair and he totally looks like he could be a model. He probably is.

" Hello everyone. I'm Arthur as you all know." he dips his head to the ladies in the front row and I hear a couple of them giggle. I roll my eyes.

" I don't go to this school anymore, sadly," he looks back at the professor and the professor smiles, "but I still know my way around. We'll be splitting everyone off into 5 groups since there is 5 of us. I know many of you were here last year but the summer can mess with our sense of direction and we don't want anyone to loose their way. So, with all of that said, we can begin the tours. I'll take this row." this Arthur kid motions his hands to the first row when you walk through the door. It's the one farthest away from me.

Each of the 5 people standing in the front gets a row or a amount of students. Soon only Lattie's and my rows are left and the only guide is the youngest of the 5, the guy that was starring at me before. Great.

As he motions for the 4 girls and 3 boys that is in my tour group Lattie comes up next to me and whispers in my ear,

" That's Théodore. All the girls love him." she says with a dreamy smile. I look at her.

" You love him too?" I say with a snort. she immediately makes her face go straight, letting her smile disappear.

" Absolutely not!" she exclaimes, defensively. I nod but don't ask any more questions. As I follow Lattie a boy behind me brings up the rear. He wears a maroon cardigan just like me but wears a tie with it. His skin color reminds me of wet mud. Once he sees me looking at him he wiggles his eyebrows and gives me a smirk. I give him a disgusted look and I roll my eyes as I look away.

Once we start down the hallway he starts talking.

" So...Coleman." I look behind me and raise my eyebrows.

" Can I help you?" I put as much rudeness as I can in my words. I don't want this guy to think I'm interested in him, because I'm not.

" Where you from?" He asks. I narrow my eyes.

" What does it matter to you?" he gives a little smile.

" I'm just making small talk." He laughs. I snort.

" You've barely talked at all." I turn back around, not wanting to run into Lattie in case she stops. I hear a laugh behind me.

" Ooo, your a sassy one." I can't help but to suppress a smile.

" I'm gonna take that as a complement." I say. I feel movement at my shoulder and see him catch up to walk beside me. He holds out his hand for me to shake.

" Name's Trevor, but you can call me T-dog." He adds with a smirk. I nod.

" I'll just call you Trevor." I say, not wanting to use his ridiculous nick name and not wanting to shake his hand. He lets his hand drop after a few seconds, realizing I don't want to return the greeting. He opens his mouth to say something else but I hear a shout from the front of the line. I didn't realize Lattie had stopped so I run into her.

"Owe!" I hear her whisper as I step on her.

" Sorry!" I whisper back. I don't know why we are whispering. Then I realize the guide must of stopped. I hear a voice call from ahead.

" Hey! Get back in line!" I realize Trevor still stands by my shoulder. I lean over and whisper to him.

" I think he's talking to you." He just rolls his eyes and smiles.

" Why do we have to be in line like a bunch of first graders? And plus my name's T-dog." I raise my eyebrows and lean over so I can see who spoke first. Of course, it's our tour guide, Théodore, who's standing in the front of the line looking back at us.

" Oh sorry, I didn't know I made you feel like first graders," he says in a sarcastic voice," but fat asses like you T-bag need to be in a straight line so you don't take up the whole hallway." Trevor's face goes slack and I realize my mouth is open into a slight smile. Then I'm shocked as Trevor gives Théodore the bird but gets back in line.

I look up to see Théodore just smiling but I can tell his smile doesn't reach his eyes.

" Newbie!" He calls and I realize he's talking to me. " Is Trevor bothering you?" I raise my voice so he can hear it.

" No, I can take care of myself!" I lift up to my tippy toes to say this. I don't know why. He narrows his eyes.

" Come to the front!" I sigh and roll my eyes but walk to the front to stand next to him. He's still smiling. He leans down and talks real quiet, which makes me kinda shiver.

" Wanna be my tour assistant?" I stare up into his eyes. I now realize there's a ring of green around his pupil. It reminds me of clovers that I use to pick. I always used to try and find the four leafed ones but I guest I'm not lucky. I sigh. I feel like I am doing that a lot lately.

" Sure. Why not."
