Chapter 10
Roses birthday part 2

"So Maggie I hear you and Glenn are married, that's really cute." Rose said in a sing song voice.

"Yeah we are! I love him so much I can't imagine my life without him. So I hear you and Carl are together, y'all ask Rick if that was ok?" She answered back. Roselyn nodded her head as a response.

"So what's on the list today?" Roselyn changed the subject. She barley knew Maggie and dint want her getting into her romance life.

"Diapers, canned food, and baby wipes." Maggie sighed

"That seemed easy enough are we going to a generic store or a baby store?" She questioned.

"Generic for now! What the hell is that what I think it is!?" Maggie slammed on the breaks.

Roselyn's eyes grew as she saw what Maggie was talking about. A horde of walkers was coming around the corner.

"Roselyn get down. Damn I have seen this many since the farm." She turned off the car and slid into the floor of the car.

Roselyn slid down onto the floor and shook. As the heard passed you could hear the moans of walkers. Everything was terror filled as they walked passed the car. A few even stopped a looked at the car but then slowly moved on.

Roselyn and Maggie had returned to the prison with a trunk load of food and baby supplies. Maggie had gone off to tell Rick about the walker hoard and left Roselyn alone. She stood alone and closed her eyes. Her fiery red hair blew in rhythm with the wind. As she remembered her mom. A few weeks before Bruce tried to kill her Roses mom got infected and was dying. Rose was the last person she saw. Her mothers skin was pale her eyes a dull shade of blue and left her feeling empty. Roses eyes welled up with tears and she let them cascade down her cheek.

"My beautiful baby girl," Her mothers voice rasped as she continued. "I want you to stay strong and," her mom coughed and it was red with blood. "If you do fall in love when this ends tell him about me about how I died, I want you to know that I love you and that..." Her mother stopped talking. "No no no no no, come on my tell me tell me don't go please I need you!" Rose cried. Her my moms chest stopped moving and she was still. The rest of that week rose isolated her self and barley talked and ate.

"Rose, are you ok?" A voice questioned her. Roselyn flickered her eyes open and smiled through her tears.

"Of course I'm fine." She replied. She smiled and held his hand. "Carl you make everything better when you're here." She quickly kissed his cheek and together they walked and swung each other hands.

"Ok here I think you waited long enough here's your birthday present." Carl smiled and handed her a small box. Rose grasped it and traced her hand along the swirly designs. Slowly she pulled off the red ribbon and lifted the lid. The contents inside was a silver ring with a glass Rose on the top.
"Aw Carl where did you get this?" She asked him smiling.

"Last run we were in a jewelry store." He replied and kissed her cheek.

"Carl Grimes you are the best thing that's ever happened to me!" Roselyn whispered in his ear. She kissed him on the lips and yawned.

"CARL! COME HERE! NOW!" Rick yelled. Rose and Carl both look at each other.
