When was the last time you marched into the unknown with only the soft glow of a motive you strongly believed in?

"Miss, I am sorry but dogs are not allowed," states the lady at the entrance once again.
I didn't know what to do with Snow, I couldn't leave him alone. Going back to the hotel would postpone the chance of getting to the last floor of the Eiffel Tower. I have been to the Eiffel Tower before with my father when I was five, but I barely remember much other than standing in lines for long hours. I have done some research and found that it takes 3 hours to get to the very top: one hour for entrance ticket line, one hour for elevator line for the second floor, and one hour for the elevator line for the last floor. If I were to bring him back to the Hotel, I would not be able to visit the Eiffel Tower today. What if my father was there waiting for me? I could not leave him there just waiting, I needed to meet him.
I am taken aback by Snow who started barking. I turn myself around to see who he is barking at and gasp as I see him.
"Princess? Is that you?" He questions while giving me a smirk. He knows it is me, he shouldn't even have asked, and on top of that, he did with the foolish nickname he gave me since we met near Macy's.
Jake tries to come closer but Snow moves in front of me in a defensive position and continues to bark, once I again I feel like he is making a scene and I am the focus of the commotion as people start staring. I pat down Snow in order to quiet him down, he relaxes under my touch and changes into a sitting position all the while staring and growling at Jake. Once the stares from people end, I take the opportunity to question Jake's presence.
"The real question is: what are you doing here? How did you know I was here? Are you following me?" He starts laughing rather than answering my questions. I am too confused at his reaction and intrigued at his appearance. If he knows I am here, does my aunt knows too? I forgot to contact her since I arrived, I make a small note in my head to do it soon after my visit today.
"At first I thought you were just plain crazy, but now you have confirmed it. First," he raises his index finger and continues speaking: "you reject Mark's offer for an amazing internship opportunity at the bank office. Then," he now has both the index and the middle finger raised and shows the number two with them, "the next opportunity you get, you fly to Paris and leave your aunt to wonder about you." He finishes with rather a fake smile, thinking that this whole situation is amusing to him.
How is rejecting his father's opportunity crazy? Mark is a scary man, but what would he do? Kill me? Dare me if he will. I think Jake got this whole thing wrong, he is the crazy one here, thinking that I would gladly accept an internship offer coming from a man that took away my aunt's time. If I were to work there I would probably just witness the whole flirtation between Mark and Aunt Allena and I am much better on my own anyway.
"Shouldn't I be asking you the questions? You appear all of sudden at the same place as me and expect me to think that it is all but coincidence?" I am dumbfounded at him, he thinks that he has the right to just question me when all, in reality, I should be questioning his presence in Paris.
