Skylar came over to where everyone was, holding a large medical kit.

"Where did you find this, Skylar?"

"I found some instructions, saying where it was kept. It was in the storage area since Mr. Davenport stopped attending safety meetings."

Bree rolled her eyes when she heard that about her father before turning back to Chase while Oliver turned on the intercom while removing the headset, so everyone could hear.

"Jacob, what's going on?"

"I'm patching you to Doctor Moore. He'll guide you through."

The radio cut to static for a split second before a male voice was heard through the intercom.

"Oliver? The first thing you guys need to do is examine Chase and determine the extent of his injuries. Can you make him as comfortable as possible? Just don't let him lay down fully. If he's upright, he'll be able to breathe better."

"Just tell us what to do." Oliver replied as he grabbed the medical scissors, cutting off Chase's shirt.

Oliver gave Bree a look, as she gently touched Chase's chest, making him hiss in discomfort, but he let them continue as he focused on Skylar and Kaz.

"Is his chest swollen?"

"Yeah." Bree responded, laying her hand on the swollen part. "It's swollen and warm to the touch."

"How warm?"

"He's definitely running a high fever."

Oliver sighed as he saw Chase laid his left arm over his chest, leading him to take it off, making the genius whimper as Bree continued.

"His entire right side is swollen, he's been having difficulties breathing, and I can hear a rattling noise when he inhales. He's in excruciating pain. I'm pretty sure his lung is punctured, as we feared."

Chase leaned back, focusing on his breathing when Doctor Moore replied.

"OK, I need you to do something that will cause him a lot of pain, but it's vital. I need you to lay him on his right side so his body will counteract against the broken ribs and allow his punctured lung to expand. However, to do this, you need to recline the chair more or move him to the floor."

"The chair is as far back as it will go, but if we move our stuff into the storage, we might be able to clear some space." Kaz said.
