Oliver came over and ripped it open, looking in the plane's luggage compartment. Straining his eyes, he searched for something... anything to help them. Extra barrels of fuel, a emergency radio, flares, anything.

"What do you see?" Kaz asked, looking over his best friend's shoulder.

"There are boxes with flares!" He called out triumphantly to the others. "I can lower myself in and get it."

The water and ice powered teen slowly climbed into the plane's small hold. Making himself as small as possible, he retrieved several boxes of flares that he handed to the others.

"Got it. Nothing else that can help though." He sighed, pulling himself out of the hold and pushing the hatch back in place.

"We can use them to chase away the animals, perhaps even kill them." Bree proposed. "We need to get outside to light the flares and draw attention."

The lights inside the plane flickered briefly. "We've used too much resources, we need to shut everything down right now." Oliver stated, moving up front to turn off everything that could be missed.

'Now I know what it must be like to be blind.' Skylar thought as she shut off the compartment light again. The flashlights they had gave everything a ghostly feel, Chase looked worse in the lighting, and the rest of the team were discussing what to do with the flares.

Skylar suddenly felt a hand on her wrist, startling her. As she looked down, she saw that Chase was awake. Relief flooded through her as she saw that his mind was pretty clear. It was almost like he had taken a timeout to clear the confusion.

"Skylar." Chase groaned, opening his eyes. "Thirsty."

"I know, Chase." She soothed gently. "Bree used the water to get your fever down. I'm sorry."

He hardly seemed to listen to her, too far gone to care. The Calderan opened Chase's suitcase and tore up one of his white shirts, remembering about the small stocked bar the pilot had mentioned before that she hadn't thought of before.

She found four full bottles of water in a small refrigerator hidden under one of the seats. The fridge was shut down along with the rest of the power, but the water was still cold. She took one out, breaking the seal, screwed it open and put one of the strips of Chase's T-shirt in it, then placed it on Chase's forehead, wiping up beads of sweat.

"You can have a bit of water, just not too much." She said. "Just try to sip."

Chase groaned as soon as she touched him, holding her hand behind his neck as he opened his eyes, staring at her, unable to drink. She gently set his head back down before getting another strip of the shirt wet and holding it to his lips, trying to get him to suck out the water to sooth his dry mouth.
