So jk... @brentinator actually wrote eight chapters, this little guy just got lost in my files😀

"We can't lose the radio, Oliver." Kaz protested frantically. "We need them in case Chase gets worse."

"I'm shutting down now." Bree announced to Jacob and Dr. Moore. "We'll be back later."

After they shut down the radio and anything else they could spare, the group gathered to the back of the plane.

Oliver stared out the windows, gazing at the blood hungry animals, who looked right into his blue pupils, waiting for them to leave to get some dinner.

"We need to get to the compartments below." Bree explained. "Jacob said there could be flares, or something to draw attention to us. Since it's dark, the flares will be completely visable."

"The mountain lions will butcher us!" Kaz exclaimed before looking straight at Chase. "But, it's a risk I'm willing to take."

"So am I." Skylar echoed firmly. "Whatever it is you need us to do, we'll do it."

"No. I'm not letting you out." Oliver called. "I can't and I won't. It's too risky."

"We have to take the risk, for Chase." Bree exclaimed. "You can't stop us, Oliver. We're doing this." She then stood up and walked towards the exit, ready to fight.

"No."

Chase's small voice drew them to him, he opened his eyes, showing the clarity of mind as he fought the darkness and confusion while hearing the animals call out to them, waiting to devour them. "No one dies because of me."

"Chase, that is not your call." Kaz said firmly. "You're not gonna die. We're not gonna let it happen."

"Kaz, stop." Chase said, his eyes catching Kaz's. "I don't want you to go. You can't go."

"I'm not gonna sit back and watch you die either." Kaz retorted with anger. "I'm going, alone."

Before anyone could've stopped him, he marched towards the exit, followed by Skylar and Bree. Oliver was hesitant, but followed them shortly afterwards, knowing that there was no way he could've stopped them from going. He was simply outnumbered.

"No!" Chase's voice resounded, making everyone stop and turn, staring as their former mission leader struggled to sit up, the slightest move causing exhaustion, fighting the urge to give into his natural human instincts and fade into the darkness.

"I don't want to hurt anyone else." He finished.

Bree immediately understood as Chase tried to explain. The bionic moved closer to the supers, and whispered, not wanting Chase to hear her.

"The last time he was in danger like this, I almost got killed, he made friends with a villain, almost causing Mr. Davenport's death, he warned Marcus about the ceiling, Marcus didn't make it out of the building. He doesn't want anyone else to die because of him, and Mr. Davenport and I almost did."

Which shocked the others as they remembered what Bree had told them about Gisele taking Chase to get his intelligence and Troy almost killing Bree, the story of them defeating their cousin, and Sebastian in a whole.

"You don't get it." Bree said quietly. "He feels guilty still. He still thinks it's his fault that all three of us were in danger."

"It was my fault." Chase mumbled, laying on the blankets. "He died because of me, and you and Mr. Davenport almost died."

"No, it's not your fault." Kaz retorted, kneeling down at Chase's side. "You are not to blame."

"I trusted them."

"Chase, we saved Mr. Davenport. I lived. And Marcus may have been destroyed, but if we didn't overpower him, he could've killed several people."

"I said it was OK for Marcus to come over. I let my guard down so Gisele and Troy could do whatever. I gave Sebastian new abilities." Chase muttered.

"They fooled all of us, Chase." Bree spoke quietly and gently, reminding Chase of the truth. "We all defeated them. They didn't win in the end. Yes, they died or went to prison, and almost killed us, but we're still here. And we couldn't have defeated them."

Chase nodded quietly, taking in his sister's words. "I still hate it."

"Then hate them as much as needed, but don't blame yourself. None of us do." Kaz whispered quietly.

"Please don't go, Bree." Chase begged quietly. "Please."

Scott turned to the others. "We won't go and fight them." He said quietly. "Chase is right. Unless we have more help, we are walking towards death."

"Perhaps we won't have to." Oliver interrupts. "We might find a way of going in through the plane itself. There should be a safety hatch somewhere."

The four others stare at him as he shrugs.

"Bree loves doctors, I love anything that can fly or drive."

The group split up and started looking for the hatch in the floor while Bree sat with Chase, checking the tube and his fever. He stared at her as he quietly mumbled his thanks. Then he shut his eyes, sinking away before Bree could react, and despite her efforts,he wouldn't budge.

"He's out!" She called out to the others. "I can't wake him up!"

"Hurry!" Oliver yelled.

Kaz was the one who found the hatch, right under the seat he was sitting in a hour and a half ago before that car blew up. He somehow was able to rip it out, before opening the hatch.

"There goes those super comfortable seats." Skylar murmered.
