Chapter 7: Hazel

Hazel

Out of all of the Greeks here, Hazel was paired with Leo. Crap,Hazel thought. What do I do? Hazel planned to ask him if we was Sammy within another two or three days. Not the first couple of hours he since he has gotten here.

She looked for her name and Leo Valdez next to hers. She wondered if Percy paired them together on purpose. Of course he did, thought Hazel. I am going to kill him. At least we get some alone  time.

On the other hand, Frank did not look happy about his or Hazel's match up. Frank was paired with the Stoll brothers. He asked for only one, because together they look like touble, but they refused to split up.  Frank looked at Hazel with desperate eyes when he saw her and Leo being matched up. She reassured him that she doesn't have feelings for Leo. Frank didn't look convince, but to be honest  Hazel didnt even convie herself. 

Hazel stared at Leo when he started to walk toward her. He still had thoses curly black hair, dark wild brown eyes, pointy ears, a cheerful face, and a mischievous smile. Same old Leo, she thought. Thou one thing was diffent, he looked way more confident.

"Hey Hazel. We haven't really gotten time to spend time together. This is going to be great." Leo said with a huge grin.

"Hi Leo, yeah I agree, the camp has been very busy, because of the Greeks departure. Do you want to start at the Barracks. You can see were you are staying. " she asked.

"Sure, lead the way."

They headed to the Barracks. Hazel explained the Cohort system, how they don't house by parent. She gave Leo a little back ground on the Romans.  Leo would crack a few jokes and Hazel would burst out laughing. 

"Wow, I must be funnier than I thought!  No one has never laughed at my jokes for that long." Leo said proudly.

Hazel was trying to get the courage to ask Leo about Sammy but,  so many Romans and Greeks were around. There wasn't a time were they were truely alone.

 Hazel took Leo in to New Rome.

"Ah Miss Levesque. Nice to see you twice in one day. And the day is still young. I see this is your Greek," Terminus stated.

"Yeah.... I'm Leo. I guess we never officially met. Son of Hephaestus, and a fire user," Leo said to Terminus.

Terminus eyed Leo up and down and said, " Ah, young Leo, I have heard your dad talk about you many times. But of  course in his Roman form,  Vulcan."

"Wait my dad has talked about me in is Roman form, even though I am Greek?" Leo asked.

Termius exclaimed, "Why, you are the first fire user since 1666! He had to show off his pride. You are one of the seven!  Don't let Percy or Jason out shine you. You are important t this quest.  But......... Let me warn you Leo. Secrets....... Don't let your secrets hold you from seeing what is truely important." Terminus snicked  a quick look at Hazel and said, " Go on now, you are holding up the line."

Hazel and Leo walked though Rome. When there was silence, Hazel would caught Leo starting at her. Oh gods, there is a great chance he is Sammy. He keeps looking at me. Terminus said he had secrects. But everyone has secrets. I do.....

Her and Leo decied to stop at the Cafe and get something to drink.

"Can I get a Sprite" Hazel asked. Hazel was about to pay when Leo interrupted, " Make that two." He moved Hazel's money and said to her ," I got it."
