Chapter 3: Leo

Leo

"Hola mi amigos! I am the totally, amazing outrageous Flaming Leo Valdez," Leo said to Hazel.

Hazel looked at Leo like he was from outer space. Leo broke the awkwardness and said, "What im not that ugly am I?".

Hazel gasped and almost tripped over her feet. She whispered something to Percy and Frank that made their eyes go wide. Suddenly Leo remembered his past.

Leo and Hazel were riding through the wood celebrating her thirteenth birthday. He spread out a picnic blanket and they started to talk.

"If I joined the military, would you write me letters," Leo asked.

"Of course silly," Hazel said looking deep in to his eyes.

Leo noticed and said ,"what I'm not that ugly am I?"

Hazel laughed and shook her head no. Leo took out a cupcake and handed it to her.

He commented," Sorry, I'm not the best cook! Happy Birthday Hazel, I hope all your wishes come true."

He leaned i and gave her a kiss on the cheek. His entire body started to heat up like it was on fire. He looked at his hands and they had little flames dancing across them. He put them out before Hazel could notice.

"Thanks Sammy," Hazel replied. They got up and finished their horse riding on the way home.

"See you tomorrow," Hazel asked.

Sammy/Leo shook his head yes, not knowing her would never see her again.

"Umm, I am Hazel Levesque, Daughter of Pluto and this in Frank Zhang, son of Mars or Ares."

"Im Piper Melean, daughter of Ahropdite," said Piper.

They all shook hands and Percy said, "Well I have to get my toga before Reyna has a Pegasus. Frank and Hazel show the Greek to the line I will meet you guys there. I am dying to she Annabeth's face when she sees the buildings!"

Annabeth elbowed him in the ribs and percy ran away.

"Well we better get going," Hazel announced. We all headed toward the Senate meeting. Hazel and Frank were in the front, a bunch of Greeks were in the middle, while me, Jason and Piper lingered towards the back. I was between Jason and Piper. Jason asked me why I was, I told him Piper put me there.

When we got the the line, Percy was already there, wearing a purple toga. all of the Greeks collasped onto the ground dying of laughter. They all gasped something like," Percy you are wearing a toga! You look soooo manly. Purple is a fitting color."

Percy rolled his eyes and grabbed Annabeths hand, dragging her to Terminus.

" Ahh Predator Jackson! You did an amazing job last night! Let me know if you need me to destory some more giants," Terminus said proudly.

"Thanks. I will let you know," Percy beamed. " Is it okay if the Greeks come under my name. They dont have ID's."

"Well this one time. But we will have to fix that by the next meeting. Weapons, Weapons! Oh, Julia," Terminus screamed.

A little girl ran out with a silver tray in her hands.

Piper nudged Leo and asked, "Isn't she a little young to carry so many weapons?"
