Nya's POV
I groaned as I forced myself to get up. Today's was my turn to make breakfast for what remained of the team.
As I soon as I got dressed, I walked into the kitchen. Lloyd was sitting on the counter, checking his phone.
As I started cooking toast, the rest of the Ninja team got up.
Cole rejoiced as I placed his cake on the table. (The guy seriously requested the thing for breakfast)
The conversation started slowly, but soon turned to the subject of Zane. It had been a week since the government issued the Droid Protection Act, but only a few days since Zane himself had been taken into custody. He had struggled a lot. He had gone down in a fit of rage, fury, and pure power. We still had an ice rink in our training yard. The media (including Dareth) was in a fit over this, dome agreeing with the cruel act, some claiming Zane had done nothing wrong to anyone ever, that he was a hero to Ninjago.
It was all so... painful to me. I love Zane, not as a boyfriend but as a brother. We all felt for him that way. It was the overlord all over again. Once again, the ninja of ice, the one who had always stood apart from the rest, was ripped away from his home and family.
