"Lunaaaa!" And that was the voice of her best friend Tara. As always, with no books on her hands that beautiful bombshell, just as everyone called her was running towards the direction of her best friend.

Her long, wavy, medium auburn hair locks carelessly danced with the rhythm of the soft, gentle breeze making that attractive oval-shaped face and those prominent, light brown eyes attract the attention of the crowd, with no exception.

Even though the temperatures of October 15th couldn't allow the luxury to abandon the warmth of the fireplace without a lightweight jacket on, that hipster attire of hers didn't seem to care.

A simple grey tee perfectly combined with a maxi black skirt tied up just below the knee length, flattered that apple-shaped silhouette, while the cool grey colored sandals and the side brown leather bag, mingled flawlessly with the four-circle necklace she never took off.

It was a gift from her mother and a precious memory.

"Tara, hi! I'm late again, but since it's the first day of university, you know how it is. Not to forget Rick who is a sick bastard, I swear the need to kill him is getting stronger each day that passes! Ughhh, see? He can still make me go off the rails. Why can't I just walk away and ignore him?"

Trying to catch her breath, the devastated Luna was really irritated by the previous encounter. For one thing, she was relieved though.

For having her favorite black, ankle boots on that day.

First of all, because when facing Rick, she felt like they could make her fly, far away from him. And secondly, Tara liked them, something really important in Luna's dress code.

Tara had been waiting for twenty minutes at the university parking lot since she had finished earlier. Actually more like escaped earlier, considering the fact that she made her own rules.

Keeping in mind that Tara was the fashionable popular but 'brainless' girl and Luna the intelligent and responsible one, it would be more than normal to question what kept them together.

Best friends since five, and even though for some years they had lived in different countries, their hearts never grew cold.

It was one of those relationships that everybody envied. A strong and compact fortress, that not even the most cataclysmic events could raze it to the ground. At least until now.

"I know! He needs someone to show him his place! I can not believe you are relatives with that freak." Tara groaned.

Rick's dad was Luna's uncle, but her family had cut off every single contact with those disgusting human beings, as Luna called them.

For as long as humanity has been existing, we can undoubtedly state that there are only two types of people. Those who are comfortable with what they have and enjoy life to the fullest and the others who are never satisfied with what they have accomplished.

One can certainly say that Luna was part of the second group, the ones who lived but more like survived. Struggling each day to get to where others mostly wanted her, that exemplary young girl had almost forgotten herself during the process.

Life is just a rollercoaster ride! There are ups and downs for sure, but being at peace with yourself is the best thing you can ever seek.

Without leaving any time for Luna to reply, Tara continued.

"Anyways, well talk about that later. Rick doesn't deserve so much attention. Now, guess what?" Tara chuckled.

An indescribable humor had engulfed her and she was so excited, that in order to contain herself from screaming out loud, the poor girl was clenching her fists like a happy child.
