"(M/n)! You are in the deepest of trouble!"
'Figured...'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sluggishly walked over to the two of them, setting down my sword on the table. "Take it. I already know you're going to."
My father only gave me a glare before replying. "(M/n)... Go to your room immediately. Emilia will guide you there so you don't cause any more havoc."
Following Emilia, I entered the empty hall. I was all alone down this wing, it wasn't fair.
I felt a soft hand place itself on my shoulder. "Sire. You shouldn't frown. You'll have more wrinkles than your father." She smiled slightly at me before nudging me to my door. "Now go, dinner will be with you shortly."
And with that, she slammed the open door in my face, leaving me to pity myself.
I made my way to my canopy and sat there, staring out into the darkening sky. "Oh, how I dream that I could travel out there again." My chin laid upon my palm as I continued to mourn over my captiveness. Well, until a knock came from my door.
I leapt up and rushed to the door, swinging it wide open. A wondrous feast that was waiting for me was placed in my room where I could treat myself to it. I nodded to the servers and sat down in my seat until they all left.
"Finally." I threw everything from potatoes to pumpkin pie to my plate, watching it slowly seem to disappear from the plates.
Now I'm stuffed and can barely get up. "Curse those chefs for feeding us like pigs." I moaned out before getting up and falling onto my feathered bed and silk sheets.
~~~~~~
There it was again, that damned sun.
"Well, I need to get up now." I pushed myself off my chest, still feeling the effects from yesterday. 'Definitely no need for breakfast...'
I didn't want to change so I didn't. Even if my father would send me back. That reminded me of last nights events, guess I'd have to talk to them.
Figuring they'd be in the dining hall, I made my way there. And look here, they are.
"Mother, Father." I bowed and walked over to my chair and stood behind it, wanting to talk.
"(M/n). I thought I told you to stay in your room." Father shooed away a servant before boreing his deadly stare to mine.
"Dear, let him speak. (M/n), why did you come home late?" My mother's sweet voice echoed down the halls.
'You have to lie. You have to...'
"I got ambushed by bandits. They made me hand all my belongings over."
My father's glare only became harder. "How did you come here with your sword then?"
I felt my throat tighten and beads of sweat form. "Uh- I don't know."
He shook his head and stood up. "This is nonsense. Get out of my sight."
Huffing, I walked back to my room, hearing light footsteps behind me. "(M/n). Wait, you know your father is harsh but he's just worried about your well being."
"Well, I never asked him to be. I've been stuck in this kingdom for all my life. Don't you expect me to wander off?" I turn around to face my mother, her face forgiving.
She only grabbed my shoulder and pulled me into a hug. "He's just as scared as me. He just doesn't know how to show it." And with that she pulled away and headed back down the hall, leaving me to ponder.
~~~~~~
The kingdom was dark and only the sound of wind could be heard this late at night. I was going to leave this place.
I ran to my canopy and looked over the edge, It wasn't too high. But I had to go back, something felt missing when I left. Like I belonged in Pheonix Drop.
I skillfully.... Hah, kidding. What do you take me for? I silently cried as I made my way down the stone walls of the (L/n) kingdom.
And now I'm on the ground, in one piece. Thank the gods. But now I have to make it to the stalls which might be a challenge since guards exist. But I'm going to do it anyways.
I ran towards the outskirts of the walls, where the stalls happened to be and looked for my horse.
"Damn! I forgot a shawl..." I whispered to myself once I spotted my horse. I shrugged and opened the pen, grabbing them by their reins and heading out to the shops to find a shawl or cloak.
I found one that didn't stray too far from the exit and left (H/n) outside while I ventured inside. The shop was cosy but packed with travelling necessities. Perfect. I walked around, admiring the craftsmanship of some daggers and bows before trying another section of the store.
I finally made it to the place I wanted to find, grabbing a plain, brown, cloth cloak and sliding it on before heading to the front where there lay an old, brittle man. I gave him a smile, handing him 5 pieces. He only nodded and smiled back, heading into a room behind him.
~~~~~~
Now is the time for my escape.
