'I hope this could be my second home...'

I looked around the oak room, finding my way to her purple cushioned furniture. I sat on the soft cushion, it displacing under my weight.
Aphmau followed shortly behind, her dress flowing. She sat gently with crossed legs.
"So, Sir (M/n). You wanted to discuss something with me?" Aphmau gave me a stern look as if she was trying to figure it out before I asked.
Nodding, I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees with interlaced fingers.
"Yes. Yes, I did."
She nodded, signalling for me to continue.
"I was having issues and decided to come back here for now. I wanted to stay here for a while if that's alright."
Aphmau gave me an understanding smile and got up. She held her hand out, which I took in my own as she led me upstairs.
"We have a room you can stay in for now. If you stay longer then a few days you might want to talk to Garroth about staying in the Guard's Headquarters."
I gave her a curt nod and entered the room, a waft of lilacs and lavender came from the room making it have a relaxing aura.
I was given a tour, by yours truly, and set down my luggage before turning to the door to see the small blond kid from earlier.
"Hey, Mister! You know how to sword fight?" He asked, tilting his head and swinging the wooden sword so it rested on his shoulder.
"But of course! It is one of my princely duties after all." I gave a close-eyed smirk and held my right hand in a fist over my heart.
The boy rolled his eyes and grabbed my left arm, tugging me down the stairs and out the door. We went to a tall tower made of cobblestone and wood. I looked over the outside before the kid pushed me towards some ladders.
"Climb. We'll practice upstairs."
I only raised a brow at his words and climbed up the ladder, only looking up to see how much longer I would need to go. Once I was at the top, I held a hand out for the kid which he took to help pull him up. The kid shut the trapdoor and pointed to an open space in the circular room, which held beds all around its circumference.
"So, this is where we will be fighting?" I looked around a bit more before looking at the blond-headed kid again.
"Yes, mister. Now you need a weapon!" He yelled at me while I patted down my person.
Right. I have no weapon. Nice pat check, however.
I nodded and walked around the room, trying to find some god damn swords. If I was going to fight this kid, a bow and arrow would be a bit too much. I would also prefer not losing my head from shooting a kid.
"Levi, come here!" A voice bellowed from below us. I looked at the boy who's cheeks were dusted red.
"Here." He threw the sword on the ground before stomping to the trap door exit. I waved at him with a small smile, despite his back to me.
I stayed up here, alone, for a bit until I heard someone climbing up and talking. A man with platinum white hair then entered, scaring us both. He tilted his head at me, possibly questioning my presence. He then quietly walked over to a bed, on the other side of the room, and checked on a figure with chocolate-brown hair. The figure had food by their bedside however, it looked cold and untouched.
"Who is that? What happened to them?" My curiosity finally broke the silence. The man sighed and slightly turned to me.
"This is Malachi. He's a boy we found all alone not too long ago." He then stood up, the wooden chair scraping against the floor, and walked over to me, "I don't think I've seen your face, who are you?"
I blushed a small bit because I forgot to even introduce myself to the platinum-haired male. "Prince (M/n). I'd prefer just (M/n), however." I made my way over to the boy's bedside before extending my hand out.
"Travis. Nice to see a friendly face around." He gave me a firm handshake and a smile in return. I nodded at Travis and slowly backed away.
"I should probably get going on my way now, it was nice to meet you!" Finally saying my goodbyes, I left through the same trapdoor I first climbed through.
The outside now seemed even more lively and busy. There were plenty of families walking around together with a little one or two, many market folk trying to sell their goods. Sniffing the air brought a sense of calmness and happiness as it held a sweet aromatic scent that seemed to lead me straight to a building. It was covered in pink and beautiful flowers. All I could smell was sweets, and boy I sure was hungry. Once I entered, I was welcomed by a cute meif'wa who perfectly matched the aesthetic of this building to a 'T'.
"Hiya, Stranger-Kun! What could Kawaii-Chan get for you?" She exploded with immense energy as she spoke.
"Hello there. I found my way here because of the delectable smell. May I ask to have what was being made?" I walked closer to the oak counter and pulled out a few coins from an inside pocket.
The girl smiled with a nod and skipped off to the other side of the store, taking out a tray straight from the furnace. She carefully removed a singular bun and wrapped it in a small cloth. As she walked back over to me, I could finally smell it.
"Is that pumpkin and cinnamon?" I gently close my eyes and take in a few more deep breaths.
"Why yes! You have quite a great sense of smell! Is this all you'd like today?" The meif'wa tilted her head in a cute way the almost made me melt. I shook my head, still staring between her and the bread.
"So, how much is it?" I placed five golden coins in front of her, "Unless it's more than I have some more." I said after I realised she didn't move to grab the coins.
She quickly dismissed me and took two coins before handing me back the remaining three and the bread. "No, it was enough. Kawaii-Chan was not expecting it is all."
I nodded to show her I understood and waved before leaving. I peacefully ate my bread while continuing my way to the busy town square. Once I was finally there, I saw Lady Aphmau with her helmet head guard and the blond boy from earlier. I was planning on going to converse with them but figured that it would be best to leave them alone for now. There was a pier with two small ships, one might've almost called them pirate ships, that immediately grabbed my attention.
"Beautiful." I sighed, almost dropping my food.
I heard steps coming towards me, "Why thank you." It was the man from earlier, Tavis.
Smiling I turned around and shook my head at him. "Of course. Nothing could match such beauty as yours."
We both laughed before he sat down beside me, clearing a spot on the sand. "C'mon, sit."
I followed his orders and sat cross-legged, facing the water again. It truly was a sight to marvel at, the stunning gradient of lavander purple to a deep tangerine colour and the fluffy clouds of white and pink that seemed to stretch farther then the eye could see. It was beautiful.
It really was.
