What The Hell?

Deeks POV

I was sat in the car with Kensi next to me and she gazed out of the window as I drove down 34th Street. Not once did she move. I honestly thought she had gone to sleep which I thought was cute. I pulled over into a lay-by and grabbed a blanket from the back seat of my car. I covered her up gently and kissed her lightly on her head. She just looked so peaceful just sitting there. I smiled at her and started the car engine up again and continued to head down the road. I was just going to stop off at McDoanlds and get something to eat but I thought that I would take Kensi on a 'date'.

On my right was the Restaurant 'Pacific Boulevard'. I knew this restaurant well and I knew that Kensi would love it too. She looked so peaceful asleep and I didn't want to wake her but I was starving and Kensi probably was too.

"Hey sunshine! Wake up!" I shook her shoulder gently.

Kensi POV

I recognised Deeks' voice in my ear. Oh my god I must have fallen asleep! I opened my eyes quickly and looked over at him. He smiled at me and just laughed. He was so cute!

"Hey, where are we?" I asked.

"Food." that is all her could say but food sounded good to me! My stomach growled at me and I uncovered myself and placed the blanket on the back seats. I looked over at Deeks and said

"I was only joking before when I said that you're paying!" I giggled a bit.

"I know but just think it as a treat from me to you."

He just knew what to say! I smiled and jumped out of the car and looked around. This was one place of LA that I don't think I've ever been to. I looked up and saw the sign 'Pacific Boulevard'. I knew this place! It wasn't exactly cheap to dine here!

"Deeks, when I said I'm hungry I thought we were going to go to McDonalds or something! Not a posh restaurant like this!"

"Relax Kens! I thought we should go somewhere a little special for a change."

"Erm okay thanks! But you could at least let me change first! I feel a little under dressed!" I made myself laugh and Deeks laughed too. This was so sweet of him to bring me here. I would never have been able to afford this place on my own! Deeks walked over to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I was still wearing his hoodie and I looked like a freak but I didn't care because I was with Deeks. He gently guided me over to the front door where we were greeted by the doorman.

"Table for 2?" he asked.

"Yeah please!" Deeks replied rather enthusiastically.

"The only table we have available is right in the corner where service isn't as good! is that okay or would you rather wait?" this doorman was so polite!

"No it's okay we'll take it!" I said before Deeks changed his mind. I could smell good an it made me nauseous so I was not going home just yet.

Deeks POV

I guided Kensi through the doors and into the restaurant. Wow it was busy! The ceilings escalated before us and tables were neatly arranged on the marble flooring. I showed Kensi the direction to our table and she took a seat. I sat down opposite her and gazed into her eyes. I couldn't believe we were here. I was on a 'date' with the girl I secretly loved! She meant so much to me and tonight, I was going to tell her. I grabbed a menu and scanned it looking for my favourite meal. Steak and chips. I found it rather easily and placed the menu back in the holder. Kensi took forever to choose. I couldn't read her facial expressions. One second she looked happy, the next she looked frustrated and slightly angry. After about 5minutes Kensi finally put her menu down and sighed. I could read this expression - sadness and a bit of anger.

"Hey Kens what's up?"

"Nothing," she replied, without even looking at me.

"Kensi come on! I can read you like a book! Something is the matter. Please tell me!" I gave her a reassuring glance.

She sighed, "alright fine! What the hell Deeks, what the actual hell! You asked me if you could take me home so I said yes and then you suggested food so I said yes again! Usually when you suggest food, you mean tacos or McDonalds or something, not some fancy restaurant that is for couples on a date! We aren't a couple Deeks and we aren't dating so I want to know why the hell you brought me here!?" she was angry alright! Her face was turning red and she kept slamming her hands on the table. Well done Deeks. Well done.
