Kensi POV

I was so mad at him! He'd asked me out on a date without actually asking me. Sometimes, just sometimes it's like I work with a four year old! He never says what he means! He's always talking in metaphors!

Deeks POV

"Kens I'm sorry!" I reached out my hand across the table and went to touch her hand. She snatched it away quickly and exclaimed

"Deeks no! You've just asked me out on a date without actually asking me out on a date! Sometimes, just sometimes it's like I work with a four year old! You never say what you want to say and you always talk in damn metaphors! And I'm telling you now, this is one metaphor too far Deeks!"

I'd never seen Kensi get this angry before! Alright, maybe I should have just asked her but a four year old, come on Kensi!

"Alright fine! The truth is, I don't want to be with you here!"

"What!?" Kensi looked kinda hurt by this and I regretted it the moment I said it. She just looked at me, eyes full of sorrow.

"The truth is, I just wanna be back at my place right now, with you!" She just looked at me. She blinked a few times and then got up out of her chair and walked out of the restaurant.

Kensi POV

Oh my god! I couldn't believe him! I was so angry right now but I was also so happy that he want to be with me! I got up out of my chair and stormed out of the restaurant. I could feel everyone's eyes staring at me. the doorman opened the door for me and I stormed past him and waited by Deeks' car.

Deeks POV

I quickly followed Kensi out of the building. I needed to sort this out. I brushed past the doorman and arrived in the car park where I found Kensi leaning against my car with her head on the window. I walked a bit nearer to her and placed my hand and her shoulder. She turned around and slapped me hard across the face. Ouch! My face stung where she hit me. I just looked at her in disgust. She quickly turned her head so that she was no longer looking at me but I could tell that she regretted it.

Kensi POV

I couldn't believe that I just did that. He looked so hurt! I turned my head away quickly so he couldn't see my face and a tear slowly trickled down my cheek. I opened his car door and slumped down into his the seat. I gazed out of the window again and didn't look at Deeks once.

Deeks POV

Kensi jumped into my car and stared out of the window. Not once did she turn around to look at me. I was kinda hurt in the fact that she slapped me. Yeah alright I probably deserved that but Kensi is so gentle and kind that I didn't expect it! I turned the key in the ignition and put on my seatbelt. 8pm. I had to sort this out so I didn't ask Kens where she wanted to go. I just drove.

The car journey seems to go on forever. Kensi didn't look at me once. She just kept glaring out of the window. I tried talking to her once or twice but she either nodded her head or sighed. I don't think she noticed that I drove past her street, so I continued in the direction of my apartment and slowly pulled up outside.

"Hey Kens I'm sorry, please come in for a minute and let me explain!" my voice sounded so desperate. She meant so much to me that I didn't want to lose her over something so silly!

Kensi POV

I slowly looked at Deeks. Where else could I go now? I got out of his car and slammed the door closed and walked over to his front door. When he turned his back to me, I looked at him and another rear trickled down my face. I didn't want to lose Deeks over this!

Deeks POV

I opened the door for Kensi and she went inside.

"Sit down whilst I make some coffee." I told her but she replied

"No it's okay thank you." My girl was back! She smiled sweetly at me and I couldn't help but smile back. I walked over and say down next to her on the sofa. We were close enough that our knees were touching. I could see a tear resting on her cheek. I slowly raised my hand up to her fave and wiped the tear away gently with my thumb. Kensi looked down at her feet as I did this so I put my hand under her chin and raised her head so she was looking me straight in the eye.

"Hey Kens it's okay you don't need to cry!"

"I'm sorry Deeks! I didn't mean to hit you! I was just so angry!"

"I know I deserved it and it's fine honestly!" She smiled a bit but I knew that I was a forced smile.

"Look Kensi, I asked you out on that date because...." I swallowed a lump that was forming in my throat and I opened my mouth to say more...
