Deeks POV

Kensi jumped into my car and played with the radio. I looked over at her and smiled as she continued to play with all the dials and buttons. I grabbed her hand and she looked directly at me. Her hazel eyes twinkled in the morning light. Her hair was neatly tied back in a pony tail and she wore a silver necklace around her neck. I just looked at her and then lent forwards and kissed her softly on the lips. As I pulled away, I ran my hand down her face and lifted up her chin so she was looking into my eyes.

"You know you're beautiful right?"

A smile crept across her face and she chuckled.

"Thanks Deeks. Now come on or we'll be late!"

I turned the key in the ignition and pulled out of the driveway.

Kensi POV

I couldn't help but smile when he told me I was beautiful. I was so happy that I'd finally found somebody who appreciated me. When I was with him, time seemed to fly past and I loved every moment.

As Deeks pulled into the carpark I looked over at him and said

"Deeks, I just want you to know that no matter what happens to us, you are the person that I care about most on this planet."

"That is so sweet of you," he replied. "I feel the same way about you!"

He planted a sweet kiss on my lips but pulled away quickly because we saw Hetty walking across the yard. I couldn't help but giggle because our relationship was somewhat dangerous.

Deeks POV

I couldn't hide the fact that I love her. She smells like sunshine and gunpowder, two of my favourite things. As we got out of the car, Hetty spotted us and waved enthusiastically. We waved back and ran over to meet her.

"Come in together today?" she asked, looking at both Kensi and I.

"Yeah! My car's broken down so I rung Deeks for a lift!" Kensi looked across at me and winked as if to say 'play along'.

"I drive her way sometimes so it was no trouble!" I reassured Hetty that there was nothing more to it, even though I knew there was.

"You better come inside then Mr. Deeks, today is going to be a hard test of how far your partnership will go." I looked over at Kensi and she looked worried. She could barely stop staring at the ground and I knew that she was hurt by this.

"I need to dash, but I shall see you both in ops in thirty minutes!" And with that, Hetty swiftly moved away from us and in the direction of the burn room.

Kensi POV

A test of our partnership? I knew that Hetty would never lie to us so this got me quite concerned. After Hetty left us alone, Deeks pulled me over and hugged me with so much love.

"It's okay Kensalina, we'll be safe! I trust you most on this planet and I will always love you. Nothing can tare us apart!"

Deeks' kind words made a tear develop in my eye as I snuggled down into his muscular chest.

"I'll never let you go Deeks!" I replied, as one tear developed into many. Deeks could tell that I was crying and he pushed me away from his body and gently wiped away the tears from my cheeks with his thumb.

"I love you Kensi Marie Blye. Never ever forget that!"
