"Lucy,"Loki the blonde's name, catching her attention,"Virgo and the twins will be here either tonight or tomorrow. For now, you'll need to stay inside in case someone recognizes you."
"I will be obedient and stay put,"she nodded, continuing to sit upon the overly clothed bed with a mixture of different furs stacked on the bed which to become the mattress.
"You are much different than other girls that I have met. They would go out no matter what I said, and wouldn't even care-"
"Don't compare me to former 'flings' you have acquainted. Unlike me and those girls, I have a goal,"she spoke,"I won't risk anything by going out."
"That seems a bit harsh,"he grinned,"Especially coming from the new Queen of Fiore~"
"Rebuilding my kingdom will take much work. I don't care for becoming a ruler, but I have seen that Fiore has been ruled by gangs that terrorize the people, my people. Territories are made and gangs fight against each other constantly to gain each others areas. If I do not try to bring back the royal blood by becoming queen, Fiore will fall to another countries rule,"Lucy explained in a passion,"But I won't allow myself to be the wife of some crazed man that will rule the land by terror and an iron fist. And with that fist I fear he will not only destroy his enemies but also the people of this country-!"
Loki took her hands, stopping her from continuing her rant, as he kneeled before her,"My loyalty lies with you,"he spoke as if confessing a dear love. She sat up straight."If this is so, you better not betray me. If you do-"
"I would kill myself before I could even attempt to do such a thing,"Loki declared, standing back up,"I will not be long. I am going to go into town to get proper clothes for you."
"I believe my clothes I wear are of no concern in this instance."
"You look like a gypsy with those cloths you wear. You will get no progress dressed like the poor,"he declared,"Your next step is gain allies who will stand by your side and still are loyal to the Heartfillia's."
"I guess you are correct. I will be here awaiting your return and the sight of Virgo and the twins."
Loki nodded before shutting her inside the room and leaving.
Lucy sighed, hanging her head. She then lifted her head again, raising her hand to her ear, in a few seconds they were at her other ear. She then held her hands in her lap, smiling at two small red hearts. She smiled at them,"Natsu, I hope you are safe,"she whispered,"Safe and have forgotten all about me and that promise. It would only burden him if he were to look."
She took in a deep breath, putting the earrings back into the tiny holes in her ear lobes made just for them. She stood up and walked to the window that sat between the two beds in the rents room for their hiding. She gazed out seeing many people, hundreds. Women wearing the latest fashion and men wearing tight suits to tie with their ladies. Hargeon was a town of trade, so it had many people who looked to be of high class even if they weren't. But the town had a lot of folk looking to trade with the merchandising ships that came into the docks and jobs were always available during the summer a fall, though spring was the busiest time out of them all. Winter not so much, it was only on occasions a ship came in that wasn't out for fishing.
The winter fashion had put shawls onto women's shoulders and long sleeves down their arms. It was only November, but it had become fairly cold quite quickly, and with ocean breezes, Hargeon was expected to be the coldest.
The clothes she wore now, they would have nothing against the freezing breeze that was to come.
"Hopefully Virgo and the twins will be able to make it here safely,"she pleaded to herself.
