0200 pm – 0300 pm

“Are you sure it was parked there? Not anywhere else? ”Eli already knew the answer so I didn’t bother to tell him.

We ran back to the store we were in awhile ago just to see that they were already closed.

“What the hell? Why would they close at 2 pm? Good thing I stole this coke” he said sitting down at the stair outside the store. I knocked and shouted in case there would be workers inside, but luck wasn’t in my side today or will ever be.

As if a bulb lighted on top of my head “Eli try calling someone from the bus” hoping we would get out of this hell.

He answered groaning “I left my phone in the bus”

“Dammit why would you leave your phone in your bag? Why would you leave your bag?” I punched his arm lightly.

“Says Jordan Clarke, the girl who kept her phone in her pocket” he backfired. It was my turn to groan “Don’t remind me. This day is the shittiest day of my life”

After waiting for about 10 minutes, hoping that there would be someone who would notice we were missing. It was kind of hard for them to notice our lost because they barely know our existence, except for Eli’s friend, Nathan Cart, but he couldn’t join the trip because he was sick.

There was a sound of a door opening, and we quickly turned our heads only to find Charity coming behind the store. “What are you guys doing there?” She said with her face that was freshened up with new coat of make-up, clearly the reason she spent minutes in wherever she came from.

“The bus left 20 minutes ago. Where were you anyway?” I asked not even looking in her eyes.

“In the bathroom, Can you believe they have their bathroom outside the store?” She answered completely forgetting the fact that the bus just left us.

“Your problem is that the bathroom is outside the store? Could you be helpful enough to think a way how we could get out of here? Please contact someone in the bus.” Eli said in a flat tone.

Charity fished through her purse for her phone. She then dialed a number; obviously he is trying to call Nick, her boyfriend. “No luck. No service. By now they should’ve notice I am missing. No worries” She said, happy as always.

It’s true that they would instantly notice that Charity was missing, I mean she is Charity freakin’ Larkin, head cheerleader.

I secretly stole the coke from Eli’s behind, but when it popped open the can exploded. The sticky liquid was all over me, to my shirt down to my shoes. Instead of being mad, Eli started laughing “I knew you would try to steal it, while we were running that was shaken dummy”.

I spilled the remains of the can to Eli and a little bit to Charity, who was now too shocked to do anything. As reflex, I ran away from them and they started to chase me.

Running away from Eli and Charity brought back good memories, memories that I tried to get out of my mind because it was too good to remember in a friendship that has died years ago.
