Hatake Kakashi might be OOC, I'm just barely watching Naruto again and decided why not. It has been a while since I have written a one-shot, so I apologise for any mistakes!

(Author POV)

It was quite the beautiful day today; the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and no one was bothering you. You were actually leaning against a tree as you watched Naruto train, Yamato nearby just in case the nine-tails chakra seeped from the Jinchuuriki. However, you couldn't spot the famous copy-nin, Kakashi Hatake. 

The silver-haired captain was on the wooden bench Yamato made for him just a while ago, yet now he was nowhere to be seen. Not sensing his chakra or presence in general, you decided to get up and look for him. 

Right as you stood up, though, Kakashi appeared before you, although he was upside down, using chakra to stay attached to the tree branch. You yelped and reclined a bit too much, for you fell back on your behind. 

A deep yet light chuckle emitted from his mouth he always covered with that mask of his as he jumped down from the branch. Walking forwards, Kakashi extended his hand out for you to grab. Doing so, he helped you stand up as a slight blush formed on your cheeks.

Apparently, he noticed this because one side of his mask twitched upward, signifying he had a smirk plastered on his face. "Well would you look at that, (Y/n), I caught you off guard for once and I made you blush."

Your blush only darkened and he chuckled again. Pouting, you turned your back to him and crossed your arms in a playful manner. 

You squeaked when you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind. You craned your neck to look at Kakashi. "Kakashi?" you murmured, confusion laced in your (e/c) orbs. 

The ninja only smiled and reached around to lay a gentle hand under your chin. Kakashi tilted your head back just enough for him to lean over. He quickly pulled his mask down and gave you a soft yet passionate kiss. You blushed darker than before and kissed back for a few moments before he reluctantly pulled away. 

He snickered once he saw your reaction as he pulled his mask back up over the majority of his face. "K-... Kakashi?" you mumbled in astonishment. "I love you, (Y/n). I always have, you know."

You spun around and enveloped Kakashi in a tight hug, which he gladly returned. "I love you too, Kashi!" you raved loudly. 

Kakashi grinned and kissed your forehead with his masked lips, ruffling your hair as he did so. "I'm glad to hear it, (Y/n)."

He then grabbed your hand and began walking down the hill with you that you two were on. He glanced at your happy face and smiled himself, gently squeezing your hand. 

As you walked, you couldn't hear your lover utter,

"I won't let you go like I did Rin and Obito."

Well, I hope I did okay for my oneshot in months. Oh god, it feels great to write yet I can't put my ideas into words most of the time...
