Denial {Eustass Kid x Reader}

I Hate You

(Y/N) pov

As I stood there glaring at Eustass Kid with a look that would kill a normal man. I put my hand down to my thigh and run my fingers across my daggers getting ready to jump over the counter. I suddenly feel a strong hand grab my wrist.

I turned around to notice that it was my boss Dave, the owner of the bar.

"Don't do it (y/n), it's not worth it. He's with his crew and even if he was by himself you're no match for Eustass Kid. He's way stronger than you, your not ready". I sigh "Fine!" I know he's right and take my hand off my daggers

At this point Eustass hasn't even noticed me and is now sitting at a table in the corner with three other men that I can only assume are his most trusted and strongest.

"Hey woman bring me four bottles of your best sake" I hear Eustass say, Not even bothering to look up as he's talking.

I grit my teeth in immense anger and go to the bar to get his order.

"Here's your order sir, and my name isn't woman it's (y/n)". I say with as much venom in my voice as I can muster, giving them the bottles and rolling eyes. Eustass doesn't notice but The man with the blue and white mask turns my way and tilts his head and lets out a small chuckle.

I turn and walk back behind the bar and continue to clean the rest of the glasses. Two more pirates walk in and sit on the stools at the bar. I great them with a smile. "What will it be boys". "A bottle of whiskey and your fine ass" says the big guy that reeks of fish. "Here's your whiskey" I say setting the bottle on the counter. "Unfortunately my ass isn't on the menu, sorry guys". I say as sarcastically as possible.

Dave walks up behind me asking if everything is okay. "Yes I'm fine" I reply. "Okay then I'm going to leave for the day I have some things to take care of" Dave says with a small smile. "I'll see you tomorrow" I return the smile and he leaves.

I glance over at the kid Pirates a few times before I muster up the resolve to not slit Eustasses throat, and begin to walk over when a strong arm wraps firmly around my waist and pulls me into the fish man's lap. I let out a surprise Yelp.

Killers pov

I was about to get up and help (y/n) when she grabs a dagger from her thigh and stabs the man in the hand making him release her. She spins around with such speed I almost missed it and pushes the same dagger against his neck. Either of you move and he dies she says with A devilish smirk.

'Damn she's fast' I think myself. I let out a low chuckle, and Kid looks over. "Whats so amusing Killer"? I turn my head to the right and look at (y/n) again and say "That".

3rd person pov

Kid slowly turns his head to look at the scene before him before his eyes widen just a little bit when he recognizes the woman from a year ago. He never did get your name but for some reason he could never get you off his mind. Sure he's killed plenty of people before and he's heard people beg, cry and plead for their lives and those of their love ones, but for some reason whenever you cried that day for Kevin he felt a small twinge in his heart for the (h/c) haired women, although he would never admit it to himself or anyone else.

Flashback (still Kid pov)

"Dammit killer I thought you said he was on this island! We've been here for three days without any trace and the log pose will set tonight. Then we will need to set sail" I growled at killer. "I know he's got to be around here somewhere Captain I got good information from a reliable source."

'Kevin was only with us for a short time but I never thought he had the balls to betray me like that.' I thought to myself. As we rounded the corner I felt someone crashed right into my chest and as I looked down I noticed a bright green snake tattoo on his neck coming down around his arm I knew instantly it was Kevin. Two years ago Kevin was part of my crew for a couple of months, when all the sudden in the middle of the night he took off with my ship while everyone else was partying on a island. Once we caught up to it, it was completely empty of everything I had. He even killed Ajax who was on guard duty at the time. Nobody betrays Eustass 'Captain' Kidd and expects to live.

End Flashback

It all comes flooding back when I lay my eyes on the beautiful (h/c) haired women in front of me. The way she's holding the dagger to that mans throat, with such power, and the look of killer intent in her eyes. 'I've got a make her part of my crew' I think to myself. As I get up from my chair and make my way towards her, she pulls another dagger and throws it straight at me. I catch it with ease and a small smile graces my lips.

3rd person pov

As the two fishy Pirates run out the door for their lives you turn around and look Eustass dead in the eye and say "I hate you, it's my mission in life to kill you so you better stay away". Kid laughs and stairs you down just as viciously and says "Join my crew".

"WHAT NO, did you hear me I hate you I want to kill you"

"Oh and why is it exactly you want to kill me". Kid of course nows the answer to this, but wants to hear it from your lips

"Because you killed Kevin, my best friend and the only person I had in this world. I'm all alone because of you, I hate you Eustass".

"Then come with me and join my crew and you'll never be alone again". By the way Kevin was not as innocent as you think. He stole from me in the middle of the night, robbed me behind my back when he was supposed to be one of my Nakama. He even killed on of his crewmates. I will vow you this as your captain I will always keep you safe."

The three men that still set at the table all stared at Kid wide-eyed at the way he was trying to recruit this strange women. Kid has never had a woman on his crew and always said he never wanted one. So why would He try so hard now to get one. Let alone one he doesn't even know.

As you two stood there staring each other down everything else seemed to fade away and only you two were left in the bar. The longer you stared into his gorgeous orange eyes and he into your beautiful (e/c) eyes, you felt yourself wavering for some unknown reason. You finally broke eye contact and open your mouth.
