Lottie has always been a misfit in school. She has never had a friend who hasn't stabbed her in the back. She also loves science and books and finds herself in the library often. It's her safe place, away from her life.

But one day, music-loving Noah joins the library and changes her life for the better. But Lottie cannot risk Noah finding out about who the real Lottie is. so she builds an emotional wall between her real world and her exciting world with Noah, but what happens when her two worlds collide?
